20 Panamericana Alumni Earn Excellence Award

EXCELLENCE PRIZE AWARDED BY CENEVAL

Since 2012, when the awarding of this prize began, around 1.5% of all applicants to the CENEVAL exam obtain recognition for excellence, which is why these achievements enhance the prestige of the University at a national and international level.

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; June 21, 2022.- With the objective of distinguishing graduates for showing great academic performance during their university career, the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara held the awards ceremony for the 20 Alumni, who stood out with excellence in the exam prepared by the National Evaluation Center for Higher Education (Ceneval) in the years 2020 and 2021.

Ceneval is a non-profit civil association whose main activity is the design and application of instruments for the assessment of knowledge, skills and competencies, as well as the analysis and dissemination of test results.

"This year, around 800 final year students from several of our undergraduate programmes at UP took the EGEL and 20 obtained this award for exceptionally outstanding performance in their exam, which represents 2.5%. This shows that the performance of our students has been much higher than the historical national average," said Dr. Rafael Hernández Cázares, Director of Institutional Development at the Campus.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to the students, which accredit students with academic excellence by the Ceneval test. In addition to this, the Director of Institutional Development pointed out that these students "bear a responsibility of leadership, exemplarity and humility that should characterise the best".

The Ceneval Award for Excellent Performance is awarded to candidates who achieve outstanding performance in all areas of the exam presented and who also meet the following requirements:

  1. EGEL presented for the first time.
  2. They have a maximum of one year after graduating from their degree (in the case of UP alumni, this merit is accentuated because all of them have presented it before finishing all the credits that make up their degree).

Panamericana is proud of its Alumni, who have tested their intellectual abilities, which were developed and promoted by the academic programmes that make up and distinguish the University, and congratulates them for having obtained this achievement of excellence awarded by a nationally recognised association.
