Mexico City, August 8, 2022.- On July 9, the 1st Reunion of the Toronto, Canada chapter, organized by the Alumni area of our Universidad Panamericana, was held at Sofia, a restaurant located in the famous Yorkville neighborhood.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the international alumni community, as well as to generate a sense of belonging through the accompaniment of graduates regardless of their geographic location, career or campus of graduation; to promote networking networks among them and with our university through strategic alliances and to encourage the development of integration activities.
The event, which brought together 32 alumni, was also attended by the rector of the Mexico City campus, Dr. Santiago García Álvarez; the Alumni coordinator of the School of Business, Claudia Nativitas; and the head of the Alumni area of the Mexico City campus, Karla Morales.
During the meeting, each alumni had the opportunity to introduce themselves, tell their story and explain why they decided to emigrate to Toronto. Some explained that they came to Toronto to pursue their professional development, others to continue their graduate studies and some decided to start a new life in Canada.
Without a doubt, all of them are successful, persevering and very grateful to Universidad Panamericana for their professional training and the values they learned during their time at Panamericana.
For his part, Dr. Santiago Garcia spoke about the changes, innovation and current affairs of Universidad Panamericana. He encouraged all those present to remain connected to their alma mater and thanked everyone for their enthusiastic participation in the meeting and for their support in the UP community that has formed in Toronto.
