In commemoration of World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5, two containers were presented for the continuous collection of PET bottle caps. This date, established in 1972 by the United Nations General Assembly and celebrated since 1973, seeks to raise awareness of theimportance of protecting the planet and its natural resources.

The "PET Cap Collection Bin" project was designed by three students from Universidad Panamericana: Tania Serrano Chávez and Arantza Sánchez Calao, from the Psychology program, and Ana Volnie Gómez, from the Innovation and Design program. The students presented their proposal to the Department of Social Commitment, where they planned the creation of two containers for the collection of caps.
