What is TED?

TED is an annual event where some of the world's leading figures are invited to share what they are most passionate about. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design - 3 representative areas, which generate change in the world - but since its origin it has expanded to include important ideas that span any discipline.

Inspiration for sharing stories

It has been 5 consecutive years in which TEDx and the Panamerican seek to encourage and inspire everyone to share their stories, recognizing that each person has valuable experiences worthy of being shared with others. During this time, there have been 56 people who have stepped on the red dot and this new edition takes place 363 days after the previous one.

Outstanding Perspectives

Under the slogan "5 years sharing ideas", there were 13 speakers made up of students, alumni and people from outside the University, who shared anecdotes and personal experiences that provided an inspirational perspective to their talks, including 3 special guests from different fields: Ricardo Naya, President of CEMEX; Rodrigo Pacheco, prestigious business journalist; And Marisa Lazo, founder and director of Pastelerías Marisa.

Andrés Ochoa, one of the speakers, expressed the following during his talk entitled "A teacher with ADHD": "The key is to understand that each head is a world and that in the same room there is a great artist, to whom mathematics will never stick, or a great physicist who is bored by history".

Pablo Sinuhé, psychologist and influencer, concluded his talk entitled "Don't let your childhood define your future", with the following reflection: "We are now a community of hundreds of thousands of people who are constantly changing the way we live and, most importantly, the way we love. But there are millions of us who need to heal what someone else broke one day.

Similarly, Marisa Lazo, founder and director of Pastelerías Marisa, author and shark on the successful program Shark Tank Mexico, shared the following experience in her talk,"Leadership that inspires": "A collaborator, one May 10th many years ago, gave me an excellent idea to be able to stock, that day that is very heavy for us. When he gave me the idea, I said, 'How had I not thought of it before and how had I not thought to ask?' Listen to my collaborators, to my managers, listen to the people who know."
