ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; March 13, 2023. The Humanities Institute of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara is pleased to announce that it has been able to award a distinctive recognition to all students for the Humanities subjects that take the "Minor in Ethics".
Humanities subject at UP
Throughout each semester, students take one Humanities subject, accumulating a total of 44 credits. That is why, starting in 2019, students who have an average of 8.5 in Humanities subjects may register for the preparation of an essay and, by taking a summer course, they will earn a Minor in Ethics.
Minor in Ethics
This means that when they receive their university degree, for example, a degree in Business Administration and Finance, they will receive an acknowledgement that says "Minor in Ethics".
The pilot test will be carried out this semester only at the Guadalajara Campus, and then it will be transferred to the intercampus level. It is worth mentioning that, if any of the students of the Aguascalientes Campus o Mexico City would like to join the pilot test, they may do so.
The Head of the Academy of Social Philosophy at the Institute of Humanities of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, Dr. Susana Ochoa, thinks that "It was about time.It was about time. It is news that we were somehow waiting for. We already knew that our students had a particular seal, and I am glad that we can materialize it with a Minor in Ethics.".
