The Art and Culture Department of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara celebrates the 8th edition of Fest UP 2023, Living Art!
ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; March 30, 2023.- The Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus through the UP Arts and Culture department, celebrated with the university community and the general public, the experience of the eighth edition of the UP Fest 2023 with different cultural and artistic events that took place from March 27 to 29 at the Poliforum Panamericano.
FEST UP 2023
The eighth edition had the participation of ninety artists and a staff made up of more than one hundred and eighty students and professors from the Art and Culture department. To promote the festival, the artists and staff worked in synergy and presented more than eighteen activations during the previous weeks.
The program featured seven presentations, each one of them sold out. An enthusiastic audience gathered early in the morning to get the best seat, Fest UP 2023 exceeded three thousand attendees and in reach, two hundred and forty thousand users on social networks.
Theater performances
There were theater performances "Esta obra es un desastre", exhibitions "Ferdossi" and "Arte a dos Caras", the talent show "UP Talent", a dance performance entitled "Indiferentes" and as the main event the concert "The new old kids 2.0", the first event that sold out and on the opening night of the festival received about nine hundred attendees.
In order to encourage the university community to participate, the festival was held free of charge and to attend it was only required an invitation and prior registration through a virtual platform.
Fest UP 2023 was a unique experience for those involved in the staging, as well as for the audience. Excellence should not be limited to the study of a career, we must appreciate beauty, a source of pleasure and well-being very important for the human being.
The Arts and Culture department is already working on the next edition of Fest UP 2023 and continues to offer other cultural activities to enrich the university life of the students of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara.
