UP Campus: Aguascalientes

With a career spanning nearly forty years as a university professor, he has pursued his academic work at the intersection of literature and philosophy. Early in his career, he solidified his training in classical languages, serving for ten years as a professor of Latin and philology at his alma mater, the National University of Mar del Plata. This experience led him to delve deeper into the study of philosophy, focusing his research on Late Antiquity, with special attention to the figure of St. Augustine.

In recent years, returning to the core theme of his career, he has once again explored the dialogue between literature and philosophy from the perspective of myth criticism, with the aim of opening up new avenues of interpretation in the relationship between myth and logos.

Ph.D. in Sociocultural Studies from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes. Master’s degree in Social Philosophy from La Salle University. Specialization in Philosophical Anthropology from the Universidad Panamericana. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Carlos Septién García School of Journalism.

• He has been affiliated with the Aguascalientes Campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana) since January 2014 and is currently a full-time professor. He has taught courses in Social Philosophy, General Ethics, History of Culture, Philosophical Anthropology, Humanity and the Contemporary World, and Professional Ethics, as well as various courses in philosophy and the humanities at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 
• He has given more than 50 lectures at educational institutions—to teachers and students—in the states of Aguascalientes and Guanajuato on virtue education and other aspects of education.
• He has served as editor of various publications, including the scientific journal *Conocimiento y Acción*, published by the Institute of Humanities at the Universidad Panamericana.
• Author of *Vulnerability as the Origin of Political Obligation*, published by EUNSA, and co-author of *Educating for Citizenship*, published by the Guanajuato Ministry of Education and reissued by Tirant lo Blanch.
• Author of various academic articles and book chapters, particularly on moral and political philosophy. 
• During the 2000–2006 presidential term, he served as head of the Information and Content Department for the Microregions Strategy, which was dedicated to developing infrastructure projects in the country’s most marginalized areas; this led him to travel throughout most of the states to document the living conditions of the strategy’s beneficiaries. 
• At the Universidad Panamericana, Aguascalientes Campus, she was responsible for the administration and academic coordination of the university’s graduate-level courses for nine years.
• Member of the National System of Researchers as of January 2026.

He holds a Doctorate in Humanities and Social Sciences from Abat Oliba CEU University in Barcelona, Spain. He has a Master’s degree in Higher Education, a Specialization Diploma in Anthropology and Ethics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the Universidad Panamericana, Bonaterra campus. He also completed a Diploma in Philosophy at the same institution and a course on Management Effectiveness at ICAMI.

He currently serves as Director of the Humanities Division at the Aguascalientes campus of the Institute of Humanities at the Universidad Panamericana. He teaches philosophy courses in undergraduate and graduate programs at the Universidad Panamericana, Bonaterra campus, and serves as an examiner for undergraduate and graduate professional examinations.

He is the author of *Manual of Study Techniques and Methods for Self-Directed Learners* and *Rethinking Jean Piaget*.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (UAA) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Humanities and Professional Culture at the Universidad Panamericana Aguascalientes Universidad Panamericana . He serves as the Coordinator of Student Affairs and as a professor at the Institute of Humanities.

His areas of academic interest include political philosophy, public policy, and social movements.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Humanities from the Universidad Panamericana, Bonaterra campus. Since 2014, she has been working at the university in the Humanities department. She was a professor in the School of Education and Psychology.

She is currently the Academic Secretary of the Humanities Department at Aguascalientes and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Humanities for the Contemporary World at Universitat Abat Oliba, CEU.

Research Professor at the Institute of Humanities. A philosopher and scholar, she has been teaching in the Humanities since 1995. Her primary line of research is the Philosophy of Action, with a specialized focus on the thought of Thomas Aquinas; complementarily, she has approached this area from the perspective of analytic philosophy, particularly in the work of Harry Frankfurt. Her current interests include the thought of Leonardo Polo and the study of concepts such as empire, nature, causality, and freedom.

Her doctoral dissertation, which was awarded the Extraordinary Prize by the University of Navarra, was published by the German publisher Georg Olms Verlag (2011) and has been reviewed in five countries, reflecting its international impact. She has participated in three research projects funded by the Spanish government (2006–2016) and served as principal investigator on a project supported by CONACYT in 2010.

She has an extensive body of scholarly work, with publications in journals indexed in Scopus and in highly prestigious academic presses in Germany, Spain, the United States, England, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland. She has been a guest lecturer in Poland and the author of an online course for the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).

She also maintains a strong commitment to social causes. She was a member of the Aguascalientes-based civil society organization Gran Visión (2003–2017) , which focuses on regional development, and served as an advisor to a youth training project recognized by the Mexican Institute of Youth (2009). She was a member of the National System of Researchers from 2011 to 2015 and has now applied to rejoin the system at a higher level, reaffirming her commitment to research excellence.

Fernanda Rojas is a philosopher with a master’s degree in philosophy from the National University of Colombia and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She is a researcher with the National System of Researchers in Mexico, and her area of specialization is the philosophy of religion.

Philosopher, currently completing a master’s degree in Humanities and Professional Culture at the Universidad Panamericana. 

Professor at Bonaterra University (now Panamericana University) since August 1992, teaching in various degree programs, always in the humanities. Currently collaborating with the Institute of Humanities at the same university.

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from the Universidad Panamericana, and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. His research focuses on the thought and influence of Ernst Cassirer. He is the co-author of the books Myth, Knowledge, and Action: Continuity and Change in Cultural Processes (2017, Peter Lang); The Bounds of Myth. The Logical Path from Action to Knowledge (2021, Brill); Ernst Cassirer. The Symbolic Unity of Culture (2024, Peter Lang); and The Universal Form of the Singular. The Early Philosophy of Ernst Cassirer (1898–1917) (Brill, 2026).

He is also the author of more than 20 scholarly articles focusing on the work of Cassirer. He is a Level I member of the National System of Researchers and a Level C tenured professor at the Universidad Panamericana.

Nassim Bravo holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from UNAM. He is currently the research secretary at the Institute of Humanities and the head of the social philosophy department.

He specializes in the philosophy of religion.
