Mexico City, October 22, 2025.— In response to the challenges of an ever-changing world, the Universidad Panamericana . presented its new educational model:Connect UP, an initiative that aims to train not only professionals but alsoagents of changecapable of making a positive impact on their communities.
“Today’s world doesn’t just call for professionals—it demands agents of change. A world that is changing faster than ever before demands that education change as well. It must be flexible, innovative, and global, ” saysDr. Teresa Nicolás, Institutional Director of Educational Innovation at the Universidad Panamericana.
Connections That Transform Learning
Connect UP is structured aroundseven key connectionsthat aim to strategically link all the elements involved in a student’s education:
- Connecting with Oneself: The Student as the Protagonist of Their Own Learning.
- Connecting with teachers, advisors, and mentors: personalized support.
- Connecting with Peers: Collaborative and Interdisciplinary Learning.
- Connecting with the world: a global perspective and international experiences.
- Connecting with Innovation: Using Cutting-Edge Tools and Methodologies.
- Connection to research: generating new knowledge.
- Connecting with Society: Applying Learning for the Common Good.
According to Fernanda del Villar González, Institutional Secretary of the Office of the Vice President at the Universidad Panamericana, the goal is “To enhance learning through truly meaningful connections”.
He also emphasized that, while the university’s mission remains the same, “we are innovating in the way we teach, the way we learn, and how we continue to strengthen the vital bond between professors and students.”

A model aligned with the institutional identity
Connect UP is rooted in a solid philosophical and pedagogical foundation that placesthe individual at the center of the educational process. It is organized into four dimensions:
- Institutional: Grounded in Christian humanism and the founding principles of the Universidad Panamericana.
- Pedagogical: focused on the ethical and educational relationship between students and teachers.
- Curriculum: flexible, interdisciplinary, and aligned with learning outcomes.
- Teaching Methods: promotes active learning methodologies, evidence-based assessment, and the use of emerging technologies.
“The Connect UP model not only educates but also transforms. We aim to put the student at the center, but we’re all supporting that student, and in turn, the student will reflect everything they learn back into society,”, saysZyanya Díaz, M.A., coordinator of the Talent Faculty Center at UP.

Innovation with a Human Touch
Some of the model's standout features include:
Commitment tolifelong learning.
A focus on learning outcomesthat integrate intellectual, social, and ethical dimensions.
Curricular flexibilitythat complements the graduate profile with meaningful experiences.
Internationalizationintegrated into the educational experience.
Integration of artificial intelligencewith a clear purpose and human oversight.
Toward an Education for the Future
Connect UP represents the natural evolution of our institution, which, since its founding, has remained true to its essence while adapting to contemporary demands. “The future of the UP is Connect UP, an invitation to be part of a greater connection,”, concludes Dr. Nicolás.

With this model, the University of the Holy Family ( Universidad Panamericana ) reaffirms its vision of being a globally recognized university for its academic excellence, ethical education, and Christian outlook on life.
