Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes; January 26, 2026.— The reopening of the library at the Universidad Panamericana AguascalientesUniversidad Panamericana proved to be a high-impact academic event, bringing together students, faculty, and national and international experts in a series of activities aimed at strengthening interdisciplinary dialogue, holistic education, and the global reach of the university community.
Current Perspectives in the Academic Context
As part of the inaugural program, a lecture was given Business Models: Key Strategies for Identifying Opportunities and Maximizing Them, presented by Luis Arturo Méndez, M.A., dean of the School of Architecture, and Mario Alberto Montañez, B.A., a private banker and angel investor.
Both discussed the identification of opportunities, strategic differentiation, and value creation as key pillars of business models.

This academic dialogue is part of the upcoming launch of the Master’s Program in Sustainable Real Estate Projects, which is designed to better prepare students to meet the challenges of the industry.
Smart Nutrition for College Performance
Next, the School of Food Business Management presented the lecture Smart Nutrition for College Students: Energy, Focus, and Balance, a session designed to provide the university community with practical tools to improve daily nutrition, optimize academic performance, and strengthen healthy habits that positively impact quality of life.
The presentation was given by nutritionist Ariane Guerrero Muñoz, who holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and has professional experience in clinical nutrition and nutritional support at Centenario Hospital Miguel Hidalgo.

During her presentation, the specialist emphasized that “diet affects not only academic performance, but also energy levels, mood, and overall quality of life, ” highlighting the importance of understanding what we eat, how we combine foods, and at what times of day.
Using clear examples, she explained how a balanced, fiber-rich, and well-balanced diet can help improve concentration and promote physical and emotional well-being.
He also emphasized that adopting mindful eating habits starting in college is an investment in well-being, performance, and future health, in line with a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom.
Comprehensive education with an international outlook and a practical focus
As part of its reopening, the Universidad Panamericana its internationalization strategy by signing a dual-degree agreement with the Northwood University, aimed at students in the International Business and Administration program.
This agreement expands opportunities for academic and professional development in Mexico and the United States. As part of this collaboration, Dr. Stacey Tetloff, dean of Northwood University, delivered the keynote address "Power Skills in Practice: Experiential Learning in Higher Education,", in which she highlighted the value of experiential learning and the development of key competencies in an environment shaped by technology and artificial intelligence.

He highlighted experiential learning as one of the guiding principles that define Northwood University. The institution views higher education as an active and applied experience, which is particularly important in supporting students during the final stage of their graduate studies.

During the presentation, a continuous improvement model based on the Baldrige Excellence Framework was introduced, focusing on leadership, learning, and industry engagement, with the aim of strengthening the so-called " power skills " sought after by today's job market.
Law as an intellectual and academic tradition
Finally, the event concluded with the lecture “All Roads Lead to Rome… and So Does the University’s”; a brief history of Western law and the legal profession, delivered by Dr. Manuel Segovia González, Research Secretary of the School of Law, who has a solid academic and professional background in the field of international law.

In his remarks, Dr. Manuel Segovia offered a comprehensive reflection on the history of law, legal practice, and the legal profession within the context of Western culture, noting that “our profession today and what we study stem from Rome, as well as from the history of the university.”
Through a historical overview, he explained the evolution of Roman law and its systematization as a science, as well as its rediscovery in the Middle Ages and its central role in the emergence of the university.
The conference helped participants understand law not merely as a set of rules, but as a living intellectual tradition closely linked to the historical development of the university and the critical education of contemporary legal scholars.

Through these activities, the library at the Universidad Panamericana has established itself as a hub for educational innovation, academic dialogue, and collaborative learning, in line with the university’s core values of academic excellence, internationalization, and human development.
