An increasingly competitive international environment

The 2027 edition of the ranking also reflects an increasingly competitive international landscape. Since the 2025 edition, the number of universities evaluated has increased by 55 percent, rising from 5,663 to 8,808 institutions worldwide.

Despite this increase in global competition, the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana ) maintained its position as one of the top three universities in the country and the second-best private institution in Mexico.

In contrast, the number of ranked Mexican universities decreased from 32 institutions in the 2025 edition to just 18 in the 2027 edition, further highlighting the University of the Mexican Revolution ( Universidad Panamericana ) as one of the most internationally recognized institutions.

These results underscore the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana )’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, the generation of knowledge, the well-rounded education of its students, and the strengthening of its international presence, cementing its status as one of Mexico’s most prestigious universities.
