Innovating for a better world

During the conversation, Juan Alberto emphasized that entrepreneurs are not only people with creative and novel ideas, but also those willing to use their talent and abilities to transform their reality and seek improvements for society. In this way, he emphasized: "At Universidad Panamericana, our goal is to contribute to transforming reality through the young people we train as students".

He also points out that "innovation and technology are key elements in the search for common benefit, but only if they manage to concretely transform the relationship between people and their environment".

He also explained that Panamericana offers programs and advice so that those who have business ideas, however simple they may seem, can link them to the problems they detect and develop them into companies or solutions that attract the interest of investors or corporations in search of growth opportunities.

Entrepreneurship ecosystem

Dr. González Piñón indicates that our institution works together with its three campuses (Aguascalientes, Mexico City and Guadalajara) to create an ecosystem that allows all members of the university community, whether researchers, professors or students, to find the programs, knowledge and infrastructure necessary to turn their ideas and projects into reality.

"The Universidad Panamericana has been promoting entrepreneurship for the last six or seven years, with a network of 95 mentors, entrepreneurs who advise entrepreneurs on how to understand the market and sector, as well as how to develop their proposed solutions," says the corporate director of Innovation and Transfer.

In addition, he says that Panamericana works closely with private equity investment funds and the Angel Investors Clubthrough which investments are made in the early stages of our university's ventures.

Key points for entrepreneurship

According to the academic, some key points to consider for entrepreneurship are:

  • Find a specific problem or area of opportunity.
  • Link experience, knowledge and networks to generate a proposal and solution.
  • Communicate your proposal so that others can join the cause.

"Entrepreneurship is not an individual work, but the work of an entire community. From Universidad Panamericana, we want to be allies of our students to transform reality and build a better future for everyone," says Juan Alberto.
