ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; February 27, 2024.— Universidad Panamericana ’s Guadalajara Campus, through its Career Services department, successfully hosted the 2024 Business Networking Breakfast. The event featured 37 companies, including AMDOCS, Mazapan de la Rosa, Ferrero, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, HSBC, Flex, Santander, and Amazon, among others.
The main objective of this event was to promote networking among human resources representatives from the participating companies and the administrators of our university’s schools, colleges, and graduate programs.
Dr. José Antonio Esquivias, President of the Guadalajara Campus of the Universidad Panamericana , emphasized during the event the importance of training professionals who are not only technically competent but also possess outstanding professional and personal skills.
In his remarks, he stated,“As a university , our mission is to educate individuals who, in addition to being technically well-prepared, possess the appropriate academic qualifications and professional skills.”
Goals of Networking
Among the main objectives of networking are obtaining feedback on the performance of our students and alumni, identifying the needs of today’s job market, and exploring potential collaborative projects, such as corporate lectures, student competitions , hackathons, research projects, and partnerships.
Students with a sense of social responsibility
Dr. Esquivias also emphasized the importance of educating people with a strong sense of social responsibility and concern for the common good.“Another element that I believe is fundamental is that we must not simply focus on preparing high-performing employees, but also on developing people who have a very clear understanding of how we can and what we must do so that, through science, technology, and work performance, we can help others.”
