Closing of Spark UP programs in alliance with COECYTJAL

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; August 12, 2022.- The Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, through Spark UP, its business incubator and accelerator, in alliance with the State Council of Science and Technology (COECYTJAL) celebrated the conclusion of its programs: "Professionalization of the teaching, learning and specialized training process 4.0".

The ceremony was attended by Dr. José Antonio Esquivias Romero, Rector of the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara; Mr. Alfonso Pompa Padilla, Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology; Ms. Iliana Janett Hernández Partida, Undersecretary of Higher Education; and Dr. Francisco Medina Gómez, General Director of the State Council of Science and Technology - COECYTJAL.

During his speech, Mtro. Alfonso Pompa Padilla shared, "Time sometimes passes us by day after day and we think that it is not a resource that can be invested but, everyone who is educated and takes a formal program, is investing their time".

The calls for both programs were launched in 2021, with the objective of training 150 young people in Industry 4.0 and 50 teachers with the increase of soft skills.

The Specialized Training Program 4.0 had 4 groups, integrated by 51 students between 18 and 35 years old, coming from 11 different universities, both public and private, with the objective of educating in Industry 4.0 with Java Script, consolidating a confederation between Panamericana and the state of Jalisco. Two groups of 20 professors participated in the Teaching Professionalization Program and successfully completed the curriculum.

Spark UP was born in 2006 with the main objective of promoting innovative business ideas that contribute to society. The Universidad Panamericana offers entrepreneurs a boost in their projects to generate a high impact business, provide jobs in the region and, above all, networking among the various sectors of the country.
