Universidad Panamericana participates in i2latam project

The Universidad Panamericana is part of a European project within an international consortium formed by 14 institutions from 8 countries(Portugal, Ireland, Spain, Belgium, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Colombia). The project is called i2latam and is an Erasmus+ initiative, i.e. it is funded by the European Commission. It aims to strengthen innovation and research management capacities in young universities in Latin America through innovative collaboration strategies between key regional actors.

i2latam

The project started in February 2020 with the Kick off meeting at the Universidad de la Sabana, Colombia. The activities to be developed within the framework of this project are the following:

  1. Mapping of institutional capacities and environmental opportunities.

  2. Design and implementation of a space for interaction with key regional stakeholders for the development of joint projects.

  3. Identification of strategic research projects and sources of funding for them, in order to take advantage of the consortium's international collaboration potential and boost the relationship with regional partners.

  4. Benchmarking, promotion and exchange of best practices among institutional leaders to promote structural and cultural transformation.

  5. Training for researchers and research managers, which can be used by all Latin American universities interested in carrying out this process.

Participating in this type of projects also provides us with a great opportunity of visibility for the company, making it easier to form alliances for the development of more initiatives that allow us to generate international collaborations and at the same time a growth in research.
