July 5, 2022. Universidad Panamericana was recognized by the Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía A.C. (Cemefi) as a Socially Responsible Company (ESR) at its three campuses.
Panamericana celebrates being a Socially Responsible Company
The ESR award is granted to companies and organizations that through their strategies and actions promote the four sustainable areas: ethics and corporate governance, quality of life in the company, linkage and commitment to the community and its development, and care and preservation of the environment.
The event, held in Guadalajara, was attended by authorities from the three campuses and the awards were presented to the General Secretaries of each campus by Ms. Laura Rochín Mozqueda, Director of the Expo Guadalajara Foundation, who thanked them for the hard work done by Panamericana and invited them to continue working for a better society.
"To obtain the Socially Responsible Company Distinction is to endorse our commitment to promote continuous improvement processes for the benefit of our community and all the groups with which we relate, strengthening the positive impacts and imprinting our vision in every action (...) one of the purposes of each member of our university community is to exercise in the cultivation of virtues to transmit a dignified and professional work style that directly affects the development of people," shared Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade, Vice Rector General of Research, who attended on behalf of the Rector General, Dr. Fernanda Llergo Bay, and each of the campus rectors. During the ceremony, Ms. Yazmin Mendoza Reyes, who heads the Social Commitment Department of the Mexico City Campus, and Ms. Ekatherine Acosta Demerutis, Head of the Social Commitment Department of the Guadalajara Campus, presented some of the outstanding practices and projects that have been previously recognized by Cemefi.
This label offers competitive advantages in the commercial, labor, legal, financial, reputational, management and impact areas, and will be in force until February 28, 2023.
The recognition was awarded for the seventh consecutive year to the Guadalajarawhile the campuses of Mexico City y Aguascalientescampus was awarded for the first time.
