María Teresa Nicolás Gavilán holds a PhD in Communication and a Master's degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Navarra, Spain, and a law degree from the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico. During her doctoral studies, she received the Queen Sofia scholarships from Spain and the Government of Navarra for her outstanding academic performance.

He has additional professional training from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the IESE Business School (Spain) and the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE, Mexico).

Since 2009 she has worked at the Universidad Panamericana, Campus Mexico, where she has been director of Graduate Studies and of the Bachelor's Degree in Communication, as well as Academic Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector of Educational Innovation. Currently, she directs the Institutional Center for Educational Innovation of the Rector's Office.

He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of Mexico since 2011, currently at Level II. He has done research and teaching stays at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), Villanova University (USA), Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan, Italy) and Wyższa Szkoła Kultury Społecznej i Medialnej (Poland).

Since 2015 he is part of the management team of the Ethics of Society and Media Group of the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), where he has coordinated several workshops, preconferences and postconferences. He is also a member of the International Communication Association (ICA) and a full member of the Mexican Academy of Communication.

His most recent book is "Emotional Analysis in Multiplatform Serial Fiction" and he has published in several scientific journals indexed in Scopus, such as Revista Mediterránea de Comunicación, Media Watch, El Profesional de la Información, Revista de Comunicación and Journal of Business Ethics Education.

Dr. María Luisa Azpíroz earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism (2003–2007) and her Ph.D. in Communication (2007–2011) from the University of Navarra. She was awarded the Special Ph.D. Prize.

He conducted postdoctoral research in International Relations on a Marie Curie fellowship at the University of Liège (2013–2015).

Since 2016, she has worked as a professor and researcher at the School of Communication at the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana ) (Mexico City campus), where she has taught courses on Geopolitics and Communication, the Contemporary Global Context, and Current Events Seminar. She also teaches the module on public diplomacy in the Master’s Program in Political and Public Communication.

She is classified as a Tenured Professor, Category A, with a focus on research by the UP.

He has published articles in Scopus-indexed journals such as “Communication and Society,” “Studies on the Journalistic Message,” and “Brazilian Journalism Research.”

Ph.D. in Political Science from the Department of Politics at the University of Sheffield. Member of the National System of Researchers, Level I. Her research interests include: contemporary transformations of the state, gender studies with a focus on public policy, and political communication studies with a gender perspective.

Among her most recent publications are: “Political Representation and Gender Equality in Mexico,” published by Palgrave Macmillan; “Women in Mexican Politics: A Study of Representation in a Renewed Federal and Democratic State” (2017), published by Lexington Books; and “Presidential Elections in Mexico: Media Coverage of the Josefina Vázquez Mota Campaign” (2020).

Member of the United Nations High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment and member of the group of external advisors to the University Program for Asian and African Studies. Project leader for “Women and the Media.”

María del Carmen Camacho Gómez received her Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2019, and her Master’s degree in Education and her Specialization in Anthropology from the Universidad Panamericana in 2007 and 2012, respectively. In 2005, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Intercontinental. Since 2011, she has worked at the School of Communication at the Universidad Panamericana, in Mexico City. She currently serves as Secretary of Student Affairs, professor, and associate researcher.

In addition, he is a member of the National System of Researchers (through Mexico’s National Council for Science and Technology). He has published articles in indexed journals, such as *Journal Ética y Cine* and *Revista Panamericana de Comunicación*.

His research interests include the media, audiovisual narrative, historical fiction, and the analysis of audiovisual content.

Dr. Lourdes Martínez Villaseñor holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, State of Mexico Campus; a Master’s degree in Family Education from the IPCE at the National Institute of Education ( Universidad Panamericana ); and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, State of Mexico Campus. She is a Level D research professor in the field of artificial intelligence at the Universidad Panamericana. She holds a Level II distinction from the National System of Researchers. She served as President of the Mexican Society for Artificial Intelligence from 2023 to 2025. She won the 2023 Women Leaders in Responsible Artificial Intelligence Award in North America.

This year, she is the winner of the 2025 Trailblazer Award – Woman in AI of the Year for North America. Her main research interests are artificial intelligence applied to healthcare, user modeling, and the ethics of artificial intelligence. She has been a professor for more than 33 years and is the author of more than 65 publications in international journals and conference proceedings, two patents, and books in the field of artificial intelligence. 

Member of the following major societies and committees: IEEE Senior Member; Regular Member of the Mexican Academy of Computing; President of the Mexican Society for Artificial Intelligence; Member of the Advisory Board of AMITI (Mexican Association of the Information Technology Industry); Member of the SECIHTI Committee on Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence and HPC.

Professor María de la Luz Casas Martínez earned a master’s degree in Bioethics from Anáhuac University and a Ph.D. in Health Sciences, with a focus on Bioethics, from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1995 and 2003, respectively. Since 1996, she has worked at the National Institute of Public Health ( Universidad Panamericana , CDMX), where she has held the rank of Full Professor D in the School of Health Sciences. She is currently a Research Professor at CIBUP and an Honorary Member of the Bioethics Association of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

In addition, she is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level 1 (through Mexico’s National Council for Science and Technology). In 2017, she was awarded the Aesculap National Prize in Bioethics.

His publications include 19 volumes and more than 110 articles, which are contributions to edited volumes, encyclopedias, and journals. His areas of research interest are: Clinical Bioethics, Conscientious Objection, and Transhumanism.

Leonardo Ruiz Gómez holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the Universidad Panamericana , and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Navarra (recipient of the 2014 Special Thesis Award).

He is currently a Research Professor, Dean of the School of Philosophy at the Universidad Panamericana , and a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI-II) of SECIHTI.

He is the author of the book *The Leibnizian Concept of Space: The Controversy with Clarke and Newtonianism* (EUNSA, 2014) and of various scholarly articles.

Doctor of Law and Master of Legal Sciences from the Universidad Panamericana. Law degree from the University of Belgrano, Argentina. Master’s studies in Constitutional Law from the University of Palermo, Argentina. Director of the Department of Graduate Studies in Law from 2007 to 2014 at the Universidad Panamericana. Founder of the Master’s Program in Constitutional Procedural Law at the Universidad Panamericana and Academic Director from 2003 to 2022.

He currently remains affiliated with the program as an associate professor and, in that capacity, is responsible for the program’s ongoing academic improvement. He is currently the editor-in-chief of *Ratio Decidendi*, a journal on constitutional justice published by the Law School of the same university. He is a full-time research professor at the Law School of the University of the Republic ( Universidad Panamericana). He is also a research professor at CIJUREP, part of the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala, in the Master’s Program in Constitutional Law and Constitutional Procedural Law.

At the undergraduate level, he teaches Constitutional Theory and Constitutional Procedural Law. At the graduate level, he teaches Constitutional Theory at the specialization and master’s levels, and in the Doctor of Law program, he teaches the course on Comparative Law. His areas of research include Constitutional Theory, Human Rights, and Constitutional Justice.

His most recent book is *Constitutional Justice and Human Rights: Studies on the Development of Incidental and Ex Officio Judicial Review in Mexico*. Institute of Constitutional Studies of the State of Querétaro. 2023.

He has published more than 15 book chapters and more than a dozen articles on constitutional justice. He has supervised more than 15 bachelor’s theses, 12 master’s theses, and 3 doctoral dissertations. He has served as a visiting professor at the SCJN, the IIJ at UNAM, the TE of the PJF, and other academic institutions such as ITESO.

He serves on doctoral advisory committees at UNAM-CU and the Universidad Michoacana. He is a peer reviewer for scientific journals in Mexico and Latin America. He specializes in the use of the comparative method to generate legal knowledge.

Professor José María Llovet received the degrees of Master and Doctor of Philosophy from UNAM and Universidad Panamericana in 2012 and 2017, respectively. In 2009 he received the award for the best undergraduate thesis from the Asociación Filosófica de México.

Since 2009, he has worked at the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana), where he served as a course instructor (2009–2013) and research professor (2014–present). He is currently a Tenured Research Professor (Level C) and Research Secretary at the Institute of Humanities. He is also a Level 1 member of the National System of Researchers. He has scholarly publications indexed in Scopus and a book published by EUNSA. His research focuses on metaphysics and the philosophy of nature in Aristotle.

Full professor of the seminar “Analysis of Virtual Communities and Sociodigital Networks.” He also teaches courses on cyberjournalism, research methodology, network science, data visualization, and big data management.

He directs the Digital Media Observatory and currently coordinates the inter-institutional and interdisciplinary research project “Uses, Dilemmas, and Opportunities of Generative Artificial Intelligence in CONEICC’s Academic Communities.”

Since November 2020, he has served as Chair of the Governing Board of the National Institute for Higher Education ( Universidad Panamericana ) and IPADE, where he previously served as Rector General. He holds a law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana ) and a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Navarra, where his dissertation, *From the Reason of State to the Reason of the Market*, earned the highest grade. He is a member of the National System of Researchers and CONACYT, and a graduate of IPADE.

He is a tenured professor in the School of Law and the School of Government and Economics at the Universidad Panamericana , where he teaches Administrative Law, General Theory of Politics, Strategy, and Leadership.

Dr. Lozano is a member of the Mexican Academy of Legislation and Jurisprudence. He serves as coordinator of the Ethics Committee of the Illustrious National Bar Association. He received the 2014 “Best of the Legal Profession in Mexico” award for academic merit. He received an honorary doctorate with full academic status and the Decoration of the Mexican Order of Law, Culture, and Peace, awarded by the Mexican Academy of International Law. He was the recipient of the 2018 ANADE Francisco Breña Garduño Award. He received the Ignacio L. Vallarta Award for academic excellence from the National Council of the Legal Profession. He was named an Honorary Member of the University Club. He serves as an independent director for companies in the automotive, education, and financial industries.

Under his leadership, the Schools of Government and Economics and the School of Fine Arts were founded; the three campuses that make up the university were institutionally consolidated; the university’s scientific research output increased significantly, earning it third place in the prestigious QS and The Higher Education rankings; and construction has begun on the new campus of the University of the Pacific ( Universidad Panamericana), Ciudad UP, in the municipality of Huixquilucan, State of Mexico. This is an ambitious project covering more than 300,000 square meters of construction that will include schools, laboratories, a museum, university housing, a business center, and a hospital.

Dr. Lozano is a weekly contributor to Joaquín López Dóriga’s news program. He writes opinion columns for the newspaper El Universal and has contributed to Reforma and Excelsior. For several years, he has had a segment on Oscar Mario Beteta’s radio news program *Los Tiempos*. He has written dozens of articles on public law and management for specialized journals. He has supervised more than a hundred undergraduate and graduate theses and is the author of several books.
