    Sara Elvira De Jesús Galbán Lozano

    Miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI), Nivel I. Postdoctorado en “Currículo, discurso y formación de investigadores” Universidad Técnica de Machala, Ecuador. Doctora en Pedagogía por la Universidad de Barcelona, España. Licenciada y maestra en Pedagogía por la Universidad Panamericana. Profesora investigadora de tiempo completo en la Escuela de Pedagogía de la UP, así como, Secretaria de investigación. Catedrática a nivel licenciatura, maestría y doctorado.

    Salvador Rivas Aceves

    Economist with a Masters and PhD in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, member of the National System of Researchers since 2010. Specialist in Financial Regulation, Economic Growth, Inequality and Technological Change. He has been a research professor since 2005 and has been Coordinator of Undergraduate and Master's Degrees in Public Higher Education Institutions. At Universidad Panamericana he has served as Head of the Economics Academy at the School of Business, Academic Secretary and Secretary of Research at the School of Government and Economics and is currently Secretary of Research at the School of Business. He has 15 years of teaching and research experience. His scientific performance includes articles, books, book chapters and national and international congresses.

  • Mónica del Carmen Meza Mejía

    Mónica del Carmen Meza Mejía

    Mónica del Carmen Meza Mejía es Doctora en Ciencias de la Educación por la Universidad de Navarra; Maestra en Dirección de Empresas por el Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE); y Maestra y Licenciada en Pedagogía por la Universidad Panamericana. Se desempeña como Profesora Titular “C”.

    Desde 1994 forma parte del claustro académico de la Universidad Panamericana, campus México, en donde ha ocupado diversos cargos de gestión dentro de la Escuela de Pedagogía. En 2015 realizó una estancia de investigación en el Instituto Mora, con el proyecto “Las escuelas industriales en México”.

    Ha participado en múltiples proyectos de investigación financiados por el fondo institucional “Fomento para la Investigación UP”. Es socia titular de la Sociedad Mexicana de Educación Comparada, del Consejo Mexicano de Investigación Educativa (COMIE) y de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Investigación en Educación (ALIE).

    Desde 2015 forma parte del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI), con reconocimiento en el nivel I.

  • Mauricio Lecón Rosales

    Mauricio Lecón Rosales

    Mauricio Lecón received a BA in Philosophy from Universidad Panamericana and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Navarra. During his doctoral studies he received a scholarship from the Asociación de Amigos de la Universidad de Navarra. Since 2014 he has been working at Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, where he is Full Research Professor C. He is currently the Academic Head of Postgraduate Studies at the School of Philosophy. He is a member of the National System of Researchers, level 1 of the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico. He is a member of the Société Internationale pour l'Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale (SIEPM) and of the Society for Medieval Philosophy (SOFIME). He has published in publishers such as Brill, Springer and EUNSA and in scientific journals such as The Review of Metaphysics, Cauriensia, Pensamiento, Scienta et Fides, Studia Neoaristoelica. His area of specialization is medieval philosophy, with emphasis on legal and practical philosophy.

    Marisol Velázquez Salazar

    Economista de formación con Maestría y Doctorado en Economía por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, profesora investigadora desde 2016, miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores desde 2018. Especialista en Economía Regional, Métodos Cuantitativos, Evaluación de Impacto, Cadenas Agroalimentarias y Patrimonio Biocultural; entre sus proyectos más recientes destacan la Evaluación de Impacto del Centro Comunitario MAPFRE-UP, el proyecto Suster financiado por la Unión Europea y el estudio TEEB AgriFood para el café, con apoyo del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo.

  • María Teresa Nicolás Gavilán

    María Teresa Nicolás Gavilán

    María Teresa Nicolás Gavilán holds a PhD in Communication and a Master's degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Navarra, Spain, and a law degree from the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico. During her doctoral studies, she received the Queen Sofia scholarships from Spain and the Government of Navarra for her outstanding academic performance.

    He has additional professional training from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the IESE Business School (Spain) and the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE, Mexico).

    Since 2009 she has worked at the Universidad Panamericana, Campus Mexico, where she has been director of Graduate Studies and of the Bachelor's Degree in Communication, as well as Academic Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector of Educational Innovation. Currently, she directs the Institutional Center for Educational Innovation of the Rector's Office.

    He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of Mexico since 2011, currently at Level II. He has done research and teaching stays at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), Villanova University (USA), Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan, Italy) and Wyższa Szkoła Kultury Społecznej i Medialnej (Poland).

    Since 2015 he is part of the management team of the Ethics of Society and Media Group of the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), where he has coordinated several workshops, preconferences and postconferences. He is also a member of the International Communication Association (ICA) and a full member of the Mexican Academy of Communication.

    His most recent book is "Emotional Analysis in Multiplatform Serial Fiction" and he has published in several scientific journals indexed in Scopus, such as Revista Mediterránea de Comunicación, Media Watch, El Profesional de la Información, Revista de Comunicación and Journal of Business Ethics Education.

  • María Luisa Azpiroz Manero

    María Luisa Azpiroz Manero

    Dr. María Luisa Azpíroz received her BA in Journalism (2003-2007) and her PhD in Communication (2007-2011) from the University of Navarra. She obtained the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. She did postdoctoral research in International Relations with a Marie Curie fellowship at the Université de Liège (2013-2015). Since 2016, she has been working as a teacher-researcher at the School of Communication at Universidad Panamericana (Mexico campus), where she has taught the subjects Geopolitics and Communication, Contemporary Universal Environment and Current Affairs Seminar. She also teaches the public diplomacy module of the Master's Degree in Political and Public Communication. She is a member of the National System of Researchers (level 1) and is categorized as Full Professor A with emphasis on research by the UP. She has articles in journals indexed in Scopus such as "Comunicación y Sociedad", "Estudios sobre el Mensaje Periodístico" or "Brazilian Journalism Research".

    D. in Political Science from the Department of Politics at the University of Sheffield. Member of the National System of Researchers level I. Her research interests include: contemporary transformations of the state, gender studies with a focus on public policy, and political communication studies with a gender perspective. Among her latest publications are: "Political Representation and Gender Equality in Mexico" published by Palgrave Macmillan. "Women in Mexican Politics: A Study of Representation in a Renewed Federal and Democratic State"(2017) edited by Lexington Books, "Presidential Elections in Mexico: Media Coverage ofthe Josefina Vazquez Mota Campaign" (2020). Member of the United Nations High Panel on Women's Economic Empowerment and member of the group of external advisors of the University Program on Asia and Africa Studies. Head of the "Women and Media" project.

    María del Carmen Camacho Gómez

    María del Carmen Camacho Gómez received her PhD degree in Documentation Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2019, a Master's degree in Pedagogy and a Specialization in Anthropology from Universidad Panamericana in 2007 and 2012, respectively. In 2005 she obtained a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Intercontinental. Since 2011 she has worked at the School of Communication at Universidad Panamericana, in Mexico City. She is currently Secretary of Student Affairs, Professor and Associate Researcher. She is also a member of the National System of Researchers (through the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico). She has publications in indexed journals, such as Journal Ética y Cine and Revista Panamericana de Comunicación. Her research interests are media, audiovisual narrative, historical fiction and audiovisual content analysis.

    María de Lourdes Guadalupe Martínez Villaseñor

    La Dra. Lourdes Martínez Villaseñor es Ingeniera en Sistemas Computacionales por el Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Estado de México, Maestra en Educación Familiar por el IPCE de la Universidad Panamericana y Doctora en Ciencias Computacionales del Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México. Es profesora investigadora nivel D en el área de inteligencia artificial en la Universidad Panamericana. Tiene la distinción de nivel II del Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores . Fue Presidenta de la Sociedad Mexicana de Inteligencia Artificial 2023-2025. Ganó el premio de Mujer Líder en Inteligencia Artificial Responsable en Norteamérica 2023.

    Este año es ganadora en el Trailblazer Award – Woman in AI of the Year de Norteamérica 2025. Sus principales intereses de investigación son la inteligencia artificial aplicada al cuidado de la salud, el modelado de usuarios, y la ética de la inteligencia artificial. Ha sido docente por más de 33 años y autora de más de 65 publicaciones en revistas y conferencias internacionales, dos patentes y libros en el área de inteligencia artificial.
