Héctor G. Dávalos Alejo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Structures from the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana ) (2009 and 2013). He also holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus on Seismic Engineering from Stanford University (2018).
He has authored and co-authored more than 30 research articles in the field of Seismic Engineering in indexed journals and at national and international conferences.
His research interests include the development and evaluation of new seismic intensity measures, the selection of acceleration records, and the development of new structural systems for seismic risk mitigation.
He has been a professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana ) since 2018, teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Among the courses he has taught are: Seismic Engineering, Advanced Design of Steel Structures, Seismic Hazard, and Performance-Based Design.

Professor Guillermo Sosa Gómez earned a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the Central University of Las Villas in Cuba and a doctorate in basic mathematics from the Center for Mathematical Research, A.C. (CIMAT) in Mexico.

Since 2019, he has been working at the University of Guadalajara ( Universidad Panamericana ) in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he has served as a Full Professor (C) in the School of Economics and Business.

He has published articles in scientific journals indexed in Scopus, such as *Mathematics*, *Entropy*, *Journal of Information Security and Applications*, *Heliyon*, *Discrete Mathematics*, *Algorithms and Applications*, *Theoretical Computer Science*, *Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience*, *IEEE Access*, and *Applied Sciences*. His areas of research interest include cryptography, information theory, metaheuristics, operations research, data science, and business intelligence.

Elba Díaz Cerveró holds a PhD in Journalism from the Universidad San Pablo-CEU in Madrid and is a tenured professor of Journalism at the School of Communication at Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara. There she serves as Secretary of Research. She is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI Level II). She is part of the scientific committee of the Revista Panamericana de Comunicación and is an evaluator of journals indexed in Scopus. Her research area is public communication, citizenship and political sphere. She develops it in two lines: journalistic coverage of organized crime and interactivity of digital cybermedia. He has coordinated four books and has just published the third of his authorship, entitled México lindo y herido. Periodismo y crimen organizado desde la mirada de quienes informan. He has also published 16 indexed articles and as many book chapters, and has given more than 20 papers and lectures at international conferences.

Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Hamburg, with a special interest in research on algebraic errors and their causes, attitudes toward mathematics, students’ understanding of variables, eye-tracking during algebraic procedures, and Educational Data Mining, using data from the MathUP and SmarterUP programs generated for the teaching and learning of mathematics on the Universidad Panamericana for business students and high school students (through DGB programs), respectively. These two platforms consist of exercises and multiple-choice problems, where the answer choices are the most common errors.

Avelina Alejo Reyes holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Tecnológico de Ciudad Madero; she received her master’s degree from the same institution and her Ph.D. in engineering from the National Autonomous University of Guadalajara ( Universidad Panamericana ) in 2021, with honors. She completed a research fellowship at the University Center for Exact Sciences and Engineering at the University of Guadalajara. She was awarded second place for best doctoral dissertation by the Mexican Operations Research Society in 2021.

She is a professor in the School of Engineering, Head of the Mathematics Academy, and Academic Coordinator of the Operations Management Specialization. She has published 11 articles in JCR-indexed scientific journals and is a co-author of the book *Recent Metaheuristic Computation Schemes in Engineering*, published by Springer International Publishing. She has served as a reviewer for indexed journals in the field of engineering.

Professor Armando Enrique Cruz Covarrubias holds a J.D. degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has a master's degree with a specialization in taxation from the same university. He is a researcher level 2 of the National System of Researchers. He has been a litigation lawyer and legal advisor in different agencies. He obtained an honorable mention in his doctorate. He has written several articles for specialized legal magazines. He is the author of several books among which stand out, Argumentación Jurídica y Justicia, (2014) edited by Tirant lo Blanch; Federalismo Fiscal Mexicano (2004), Federalismo y Coordinación Fiscal, (2013) edited by Porrúa; co-author of the book La Justicia Penal en México, (2008) edited by Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas UNAM, La Suprema Corte de Justicia ante la reforma de Derechos Humanos (2017) by Tirant lo Blanch; and Los Derechos Humanos son la bese y el objeto de las Instituciones Sociales (2019), by Tirant Lo Blanch.

Dr. Antonio Valderrábano González

He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in Electronics from the Technological Institute of Puebla; a Master of Science in Electronics from the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE); and a Doctor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV), Guadalajara Campus.

He has previously worked at global electronics manufacturing companies such as Solectron and Molex and has taught undergraduate courses at the Universidad Iberoamericana, the Universidad Politécnica de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara, and the Universidad Panamericana. The courses he has taught include Power Electronics, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Digital Control, Sequential Control, Sensors and Actuators, and Digital Signal Processing. He has completed research stays at the Energy Safety and Control Laboratory in the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and in the Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering and Applied Science, at the University of Colorado Denver.

He currently works as a professor and researcher at the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus, where he teaches courses in Analog Electronics, Electrical Circuits, Power Electronics, and Digital Systems. His areas of interest include power electronics, the applications and control of electronic power converters, flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS), and power quality.

He is a Level 2 member of the National System of Researchers. He has published 59 articles in internationally indexed journals and 9 book chapters. His articles have been cited more than 2,300 times, and his h-index is 23.

Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from the National Polytechnic Institute; Master’s and Ph.D. in
Systems Engineering from the same institution. Member of the National System of
Researchers, Level 1. She has completed research stays at
the University of Lorraine, France; at Leeds Beckett University; and at the University of
Hull, in the United Kingdom.

She holds the Certified Meetings Specialist designation and has more than ten years of experience in the
meetings industry. Her master’s and doctoral theses focused
on the viability of the meetings industry in Mexico; she earned both degrees with
honors.

She is currently the Secretary of Research and a research professor at the
School of Hospitality at the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara Campus. As a
researcher, her special interest focuses on sustainability issues in
tourism and hospitality, as well as on systems thinking applied to
organizations. Her work has been published in scientific articles in indexed international journals
and in book chapters, and she has also served as the editor of two
books. She has also presented her research-based work at
national and international conferences.

He is a member of the expert panel for the UN Tourism Barometer, the scientific committee
of the Alliance in Hospitality & Culinary Arts—a network of leading universities in
hospitality—and a member of the Professional Convention Management Association.
