  • María Elena Gutiérrez Rentería

    María Elena Gutiérrez Rentería

    Doctora en Comunicación Pública por la Universidad de Navarra, España. Profesor e investigador invitado por el College of Media & Communication, de Texas Tech University en Estados Unidos (2014-2015). Fue miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores en México (2008-2016). Es autora y coautora de publicaciones científicas relacionadas a la industria de medios y telecomunicaciones en México. Miembro del Consejo Científico de la Revista de Comunicación de la Universidad de Piura, Perú, y del Consejo Editorial de la revista The International Media Management (Routledge). Tiene la Especialidad en Antropología y Ética, así como la licenciatura en Administración y Finanzas por la Universidad Panamericana. Realizó estudios posdoctorales en el Institute for Media and Entertainment, actualmente IESE, sede Nueva York. Representante de México en el Digital News Report del Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism con sede en la Universidad de Oxford. Miembro del Comité Científico del International Media Management Academic Asociation. Recibió el nombramiento de Presidente del World Media Economics and Management Conference (WME&MC) durante el periodo 2025-2027, siendo la Escuela de Comunicación de la Universidad Panamericana la sede en 2027. 

    Fue Coordinadora General (2005-2009) y directora de la Escuela de Comunicación de la Universidad Panamericana, campus Guadalajara (2009-2010). Actualmente, es Jefe de la Academia de Administración y Economía. 

  • Luz María Álvarez Villalobos

    Luz María Álvarez Villalobos

    Luz María Alvarez Villalobos es Doctora y Maestra en Historia del Pensamiento por la Universidad Panamericana Campus México. Es Licenciada en Filosofía por la Universidad del Valle de Atemajac.

    Es profesora investigadora del Instituto de Humanidades desde 2001. Imparte las materias de filosofía e historia en licenciatura y posgrado.

    Forma parte del Grupo de Investigación de Estudios Feministas (GIEF) de la Universidad Panamericana.

    Cuenta con publicaciones en revistas científicas y diversos capítulos de libros sobre feminismo y sobre diálogo interreligioso. Fue Consejera Editorial de Cultura del periódico Mural/Reforma y colaboradora en la sección de cine, así como conductora titular del programa de televisión “Hablando claro” sobre temas de familia.

    Recibió el Premio Anual de Tesis José María Vigil en Letras y Literatura.

  • Laura Yadira Munguía Ochoa

    Laura Yadira Munguía Ochoa

    Dr. Laura Yadira Munguía Ochoa, member of SNI I, is a researcher, university professor and cultural promoter, specialized in Hispanic American literature, Novo-Hispanic letters, Mexican history and rhetoric in the viceregal era. Her academic career spans more than two decades of rigorous research, higher education and active participation in publishing and humanistic dissemination.
    She holds a PhD in Hispanic American Literature from the Benemérita Universidad
    Autónoma de Puebla, where she obtained the Cum Laude distinction for her thesis Musa estigmatizada: Estudio histórico y edición crítica de los Enigmas ofrecidos a la Soberana Asamblea de la Casa del Placer by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, directed by Dr. Alejandro Palma Castro. This work constitutes one of the most complete contributions to the philological and symbolic study of an enigmatic and little approached text within the Sor Juana's corpus.
    She also has a Master's degree in History of Mexico from the University of Guadalajara
    , where she developed a thesis on the discourse of love in the novo-Hispanic period based on personal letters documented by the Inquisition, under the direction of Dr. Pilar Gutiérrez Lorenzo. She also holds a Master's degree in Mexican Literature from BUAP, with a thesis focused on the semiotic analysis of Sor Juana's Enigmas, also recognized with honorable mention. Her training also includes a Specialization in Anthropology and Ethics from the Universidad Panamericana and a B.A. in Hispanic Literature from the Universidad de Guadalajara.
    She currently works as a full time professor at the Humanities Institute of the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus**, where she teaches in the areas of history and western thought. From this academic platform she promotes interdisciplinary projects that intertwine classical humanities with contemporary reflection. She is also academic coordinator of several international congresses and meetings, in which she has promoted the dialogue between
    tradition and modernity in literary studies.
    In parallel, she collaborates as a lecturer at the University of Guadalajara, teaching novo-Hispanic, colonial and
    Spanish-American literatures. Her current lines of research include the study of the feminine archetype in horror literature, the figure of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz from rhetorical and feminist perspectives, and the cultural history of affections in New Spain.
    Dr. Munguía Ochoa combines her research work with a solid pedagogical vocation, an interdisciplinary critical view and a constant commitment to the dissemination of humanistic thought.

  • Juan Enrique Núñez Ríos

    Juan Enrique Núñez Ríos

    Professor J. Enrique Núñez Ríos received his PhD in Systems Engineering from IPN in 2017 (graduated with honors). Since 2017 he has been working at Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, Mexico in the School of Economics and Business as Full Professor B (research emphasis).

    He has collaborated in research projects with government agencies. In 2020 he was awarded The most innovative paper (Leeds Becket Business School). Member of SNI level 1 He has publications in scientific journals in Scopus and Web of Science such as: Cybernetics and Systems, Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management, Journal of Modelling in Management, Business Process Management Journal. His research interests are the application of problem structuring methods to organizational issues combining social network analysis and structural equation modeling.

  • José Enrique Ávila Palet

    José Enrique Ávila Palet

    Professor and researcher at the Institute of Humanities, he teaches History of Culture and Contemporary History in all careers since 2013. He advised and directed master's theses in Education at ITESM for 7 years. He has been dedicated to public and private education for 33 years, as a teacher and director of different educational institutions.

    Worked at the Guadalajara City Hall and the SEJ for 10 years. Researcher in Education and History of Mexico and Spain. Published more than 20 articles on History and Education in prestigious journals and has been evaluator and reviewer of research articles. D. in Arts and Humanities from the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain), member of the SNI level I (National System of Researchers of Mexico), collaborates with some international research groups such as the Institute of Culture and Society of the University of Navarra (Spain) and the Institute of Culture and Society of the University of Navarra (Spain).

  • Jacqueline Yvette Sánchez García

    Jacqueline Yvette Sánchez García

    Professor Jacqueline Yvette Sánchez García obtained her PhD degree in Systems Engineering from IPN in 2017 (graduated with honors). Since 2017 she has been working at Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara (Mexico) for the Faculty of Economics and Business where she is Full Professor-Researcher B. He has participated in projects with UN agencies and universities abroad.

    She currently collaborates as a professor in the Doctorate in Business Sciences. She is a SNI member, level 1, appointed by CONACyT. She has publications in scientific journals in Scopus and Web of Science such as: Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management, Cybernetics and Systems, Journal of Modelling in Management, Business Process Management Journal and Systemic Practice and Action Research. His research interests are related to the application of systems thinking, soft systems intervention in organizations through system dynamics.

  • Hugo Briseño Ramírez

    Hugo Briseño Ramírez

    Professor Hugo Briseño Ramírez holds a PhD in Economic and Administrative Sciences from the University of Guadalajara; Master in Social Sciences from El Colegio de Sonora; Master in Valuation from the University of Guadalajara; Bachelor in Administration and Finance from Universidad Panamericana; and Specialist in Fintech from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles de Madrid. Level 1 member of the National System of Researchers.

    He is Secretary of Research at the School of Economics and Business at Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajara. He was head of the Finance Academy at the same institution. He worked as Coordinator at the Secretariat of Planning, Administration and Finance of Jalisco. His research interests are in quantitative methods applied to public policy analysis, urban water management and asset valuation. He performs consulting activities for companies. He is a member of the board of directors of IMEF Guadalajara.

  • Elías Olivares Benitez

    Elías Olivares Benitez

    Elías Olivares Benítez is a professor of Industrial Engineering at Universidad Panamericana, since 2016, Tenured D category since 2022. He holds a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Instituto Politécnico Nacional. He holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University. He holds a master's degree in Manufacturing Systems and a PhD in Engineering Sciences from Tecnológico de Monterrey. He worked as a process and quality engineer in Steel, Heat Treatment and Quality Laboratories at TAMSA (Veracruz). He was professor of Industrial Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Campus Aguascalientes) and at UPAEP University (Puebla). He has research interests in optimization, metaheuristics, supply chain management, and sustainability. He has scientific publications in several international journals. He is a former president of the Mexican Society of Operations Research, and a level 2 member of the National System of Researchers.

    Edgar Demetrio Tovar García, PhD (SNII II) es Investigador Titular D especializado en Econometría Aplicada, con líneas de investigación en la intersección de la Economía de la Educación, Economía Internacional, Negocios Internacionales, Estudios del Desarrollo y Sostenibilidad. Doctor en Economía por la Universidad de Barcelona, su trayectoria académica e internacional integra una estancia posdoctoral en la UNAM, una estancia de investigación en la Universidad de Tampere (Finlandia) y experiencia profesional en el Banco Mundial (World Bank), junto con una sólida base académica en la HSE University en Moscú, Rusia. Su producción científica emplea modelos longitudinales y técnicas de descomposición para analizar determinantes del capital humano y dinámicas macroeconómicas en mercados emergentes, con contribuciones en revistas de alto impacto (Q1/Q2) como Post-Communist Economies, Economics of Innovation and New Technology y Journal of Education and Work. Actualmente se desempeña como Editor Académico de PLOS ONE y es evaluador experto para la Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación (SECIHTI). Actualmente su agenda de investigación incluye el análisis econométrico de la brecha de género en el emprendimiento y el impacto de los marcos institucionales en el desarrollo empresarial, con especial énfasis en el estudio de las dimensiones críticas del “dark side” del emprendimiento en economías en transición.

  • Carolina Del Valle Soto

    Carolina Del Valle Soto

    Research Professor Carolina Del-Valle-Soto was born in Medellin, Colombia. She received Master of Science degrees in Electronic Engineering - Telecommunications and PhD in Information and Communication Technologies in 2009 and 2015, respectively. She is an Electronic Engineer from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Colombia. In her doctoral and master's studies she received the honorable mention of excellence by the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Since 2006 she has been working at Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, where she is a Full Research Professor D in the School of Engineering and Head of the Computing Academy. She is a member of the National System of Researchers, level 1 (by the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico). Carolina is an evaluator for the European Commission in Frontier Technologies since 2020. She researches in the area of wireless sensor networks applied for health and smart cities. She has more than 70 papers and around 500 citations.
