Zapopan, Jalisco, January 27, 2025.— Dr. Dr. Hugo Briseño Ramírez, a distinguished scholar at Universidad Panamericana Guadalajara campus , was sworn in as President of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF) Guadalajara.
The ceremony took place on January 24 at the National Chamber of Commerce (Canaco) in Guadalajara, as part of the National Board of Directors, attended by Gabriela Gutiérrez Mora, National President of IMEF.
Leadership committed to Mexico
During his inaugural address, the Dr. Briseño Ramírez, currently Secretary of Research at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universidad Panamericana, highlighted the motto of his administration: “Toward a financially inclusive Mexico.”
“I believe that through IMEF we can change Mexico. Our purpose should be to think about and help others. That is the path to a better Mexico”, said Dr. Briseño.
He also emphasized the importance of aligning leadership values with a vision of social commitment, noting that IMEF provides a platform for finding a life purpose centered on serving others.
Recognition of the outgoing administration
Prior to his swearing-in, the Dr. Briseño Ramírez signed the handover document alongside Dagoberto Muñoz Muñoz, an alumnus of Universidad Panamericana and outgoing President of IMEF Guadalajara. Mr. Muñoz presented his final report, highlighting key achievements during his two-year term and thanking the Institute’s members and partners for their support.
“It has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. I am deeply grateful for the trust and support I have received along the way,” said Mr. Muñoz Muñoz.

At the ceremony, the Dr. Hugo Briseño Ramírez was accompanied by distinguished guests, including Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade, president of the Universidad Panamericana , GuadalajaraUniversidad Panamericana . In his remarks, Dr. Mendoza highlighted the University’s influence within business organizations in Jalisco:
“Hugo is much more than just an outstanding professional; he is a model of dedication, integrity, and leadership. His humanity and empathy make him deeply valued in our university community,”, said the university president.

With the start of a new phase, the Board of Directors of IMEF Guadalajara led by Dr. Hugo Briseño Ramírez will work toward the economic development and well-being of Jalisco, reflecting the commitment and values that distinguish the faculty of the Universidad Panamericana.
