Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, May 23, 2025. The School of Engineering of the Universidad Panamericana campus Aguascalientes continues to strengthen its commitment to international academic mobility and academic excellence by promoting the participation of its students in high-level exchange programs.
Thanks to a grant from the renowned Sakura Science Programseven students from the Mechatronics Engineering and Ángel Jiménezdirector of Bioelectronic Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering, made an academic visit to Teikyo Universityin Japan. This program allowed reactivating in 2025 the agreement of double master's degree between both institutions.

Technology, innovation and Japanese culture
During their stay, students had access to cutting-edge technologies such as advanced CAD simulators, electric vehicle training, autonomous driving technology, and a hands-on experience with a hybrid drone.
As part of their cultural immersion, students visited landmarks such as Akihabara and Asakusa, and participated in a traditional tea ceremony during their graduation, fostering a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
Student testimonials
For María Cristina Dueñasto participate in the Sakura Science Program was a unique experience that she would recommend to all engineering students, where she learned about new CAD programs in addition to SolidWorks.

While Angel Alejandro Hurtado comments that he fulfilled one of his dreams by being able to visit Japan as an exchange student: "During my career, I participated in Japanese classes with the hope of one day being able to travel to Japan".he shares.
Similarly, the hybrid and electric car class with Kato-Sensei was one of the topics he most enjoyed, as Angel currently works in Research and Development at Nissan.
"My interest in this class was special because I learned about the new perspective they gave us by looking at the different types or hybrid car solutions and the focus Kato-sensei put on zero carbon dioxide emission regulations,"he adds.
Likewise, for André Nicasio Romo, the practical nature of the program's sessionsin the company of world-renowned professors, allowed him to strengthen his technical knowledge and acquire more practical skills, allowed him to strengthen his technical knowledge and acquire more practical skills.
"The Sakura Science Program at Teikyo University was a truly enriching experience that had a profound impact on my personal and professional development..... It gave me the incredible opportunity to interact with top-notch professors and researchers, explore new academic topics and immerse myself in Japanese culture," he says.he says.

The student Samuel Fernando Rodriguezacknowledges and thanks all the faculty who made this program possible, especially Mtro. Angel Jimenez, Ohara-san and his team, who guided them to live a great experience in Japan.
"Spending a week in both Utsunomiya City and Tokyo was a transformative experience. I learned a tremendous amount about a completely different culture, met wonderful people, made new friends, and of course learned a tremendous amount about ongoing research. It was amazing. Hopefully someday I can go back and repeat the experience," she says.she says.
