Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, May 30, 2025. With a vision focused on the development of young entrepreneurs, more than 70 high school students successfully completed the International Business Certification, a program led by the School of Economics and Business Sciences of the AguascalientesUniversidad Panamericana in collaboration with the University of San Diego.
This initiative aims to strengthen entrepreneurial skills from the pre-university stage, preparing participants for the challenges of the global environment and contemporary business.
Boosting the skills of future entrepreneurs
The International Business Certification aims to provide theoretical and practical training in the fundamental principles of business, delving into topics such as management, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, and accounting.

It also promotes the development of soft communication skills and knowledge that will be useful for students both in their higher education and in their future professional careers.
“What we want to achieve with this program is for students to understand and become more familiar with the university context. In addition, by providing them with information about different business areas through an engaging course,we help them redirect their skills and professional vocation,", says Aldo Alfieri, professor at the School of Business and coordinator of this program.
Learn about the business world in the United States
After seven months of hard work and around 11 in-person and virtual sessions at the university's facilities, students from various high schools in Aguascalientes and the surrounding region traveled to the University of San Diego where they had two business sessions taught by professors from the Knauss School of Business.
The lectures explored highly topical and relevant issues: the impact of artificial intelligence on business, the role of influencers in commercial strategies, and the use of digital media for brand positioning.
With these topics, students gained a broader understanding of the use of artificial intelligence in business, as well as an introduction to the topic of how to do business in the United States through social media and marketing.
In this way, students had the opportunity to actively engage by sharing ideas, resolving doubts, and performing practical activities to complement what they had learned during the previous months.
It should be noted thatclasses were conducted entirely in English, which allowed students to practice the language in a high-level professional and academic context.
"The response and participation of all the students at the conclusion of this business certification was very satisfying. I believe we contributed to their personal and professional development, as well as their career choices,"adds Aldo Alfieri.
