Mexico City, July 9, 2024.- In order to establish the basis for collaboration and coordination mechanisms, the Bufete Jurídico Gratuito (BJGS) of the Universidad Panamericana and the Centro Mexicano ProBono (PROBONOMX) signed a collaboration agreement.
The purpose of this agreement with PROBONOMX is for the BJGS to provide free legal advice and guidance in family, criminal and civil matters to victims of human rights violations , as well as legal representation in necessary cases. Likewise, this agreement seeks the mutual promotion of the activities that both organizations carry out in order to extend their reach to more people.

Joint commitment
With this signature, PROBONOMX has committed to inform and channel victims of human rights violations and people who need advice on civil, family and criminal matters to the BJGS, which will be able to guide and advise them free of charge.
At the same time, the BJGS has undertaken the responsibility to represent without remuneration, in Mexico City, the persons referred by PROBONOMX, in matters requiring legal representation, prior assessment or review of compliance with the firm's guidelines.
Thus, both organizations agreed to promote and disseminate their pro bono training and consulting work.

About Centro Mexicano Probono
The Mexican Probono Center serves mostly organizations, social entrepreneurs or micro-entrepreneurs who require legal support, but does not have the infrastructure to serve individuals in civil or family matters.
This is where the link with the BJGS is of great support, as they, through the organization of the law firm, will be able to broaden the range of matters they cover, providing the vulnerable population with new opportunities to obtain justice.

About BJGSC Withthe goal of preventing legal defenselessness, the Bufete Jurídico Gratuito Social has offered free legal services in Mexico for more than 30 years, helping low-income individuals and families resolve their legal problems.
BJGS was created by students and professors of the Law School of Universidad Panamericana, providing high quality legal assistance to more than 51,000 beneficiaries, both direct and indirect.
