Mexico City, July 1, 2024.- The Social Commitment area of the Universidad Panamericana had an outstanding participation in the International Days in Social Work 2024 International Days in Social Work 2024held from June 3 to 7 in Linz, Austria.
This event, which has been held for more than five years, brought together professors and students from 20 countries such as Albania, Germany, Austria, Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, Italy, Mexico, the Czech Republic and Turkey, among others, as well as authorities from the University of Linz. University of Linz.
Representing our Social Commitment team were Ms. Yazmín Mendoza and Ms . Sylvia Enríquez. During the congress, best practices that promote a positive impact on our global communities were highlighted.
Positive practices in global communities
Ms. Mendoza presented the Model of Community Intervention in Communities in Mexico, an innovative program developed by Pan American Social Commitment.an innovative program developed by Pan American Social Commitment, which focuses on working directly with vulnerable communities to improve their quality of life through sustainable and collaborative interventions.
Ms. Enriquez addressed the importance of labor and social inclusion of people with disabilities. She presented the work done by COLABOREan initiative of Universidad Panamericana that seeks to incorporate people with disabilities into the labor and social sphere, promoting equal opportunities and full inclusion.
Exchange of experiences
The congress not only allowed the presentation of these important initiatives, but also provided a space for the exchange of experiences and the learning of effective strategies to achieve high quality work with significant results.
In addition, the discussion of various successful practices that are generating positive change in communities around the world helps to strengthen collaboration and innovation in the field of corporate social responsibility.
Pan American's participation in the International Days in Social Work 2024 underscores our continued commitment to social responsibility and the betterment of Mexico. Without a doubt, this event was a valuable opportunity to learn, share and strengthen the collaborative work network between educational institutions and organizations dedicated to social welfare.
