University talent recognized with the Francisco Benítez Scholarship

Zapopan, Jalisco; September 3rd. The Universidad Panamericana Guadalajara Universidad Panamericana held the ceremony to award the Mtro. Francisco Benítez Scholarship, a recognition of university talent and generosity that honors the legacy of a professor whose influence has left an indelible mark on the university community.

Francisco Benítez, who was a professor and director of the Accounting, Finance, and Education programs at the Universidad Panamericana 1984 to 2005, left a profound mark on the institution. His influence and teachings gave rise to this scholarship, which perpetuates his memory and promotes the values that characterized him.

In this edition, the scholarship recipient was Ana Gizelle Jiménez Macías, a student at the Universidad Panamericana.

A legacy that inspires new generations

During the ceremony, Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade, rector of the Guadalajara campus, emphasized that the event had a dual purpose: to pay tribute to the legacy of Francisco Benítez and to establish a scholarship that will continue to support outstanding students.

The rector shared that, in a recent internal study called a listening exercise, students, alumni and professors agreed that the "extraordinary moments" at the university are always related to human interaction. It was precisely this human and approachable spirit that distinguished Mr. Benítez.

Institutional values embodied in a teacher

Dr. Mendoza described Mr. Benítez as a model of punctuality, consistency, and service, as well as a faithful representative of the institution's values. He also highlighted how Mr. Benítez instilled values such as solidarity and subsidiarity in his students, making him "an example to us all of personal consistency and a sense of service to this community."

The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Rafael Hernández Cázares, Director of Institutional Development; María Fernanda Reynoso, Deputy Director of the Development Office; Álvaro Meza Vázquez, Director of Accounting; and Mariana Belén García, Deputy Director of Alumni.

The Francisco Benítez Scholarship: more than just financial support

The scholarship awarded not only represents financial assistance to pursue a bachelor's degree, but also serves as an example of life and a way to convey a sense of gratitude and commitment to future generations. The support given to Ana Gizelle Jiménez Macías seeks to "cultivate talent" and convey a deep sense of university solidarity.
