Strengthening ties with the U.S. Consulate

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; December 6, 2023.—The president of the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara Campus, Dr. José Antonio Esquivias, accompanied by campus officials, welcomed the U.S. Consul General in Guadalajara, Amy Scanlon, to strengthen ties with U.S. universities.

Internationalization

During the meeting, university life was discussed at length, with particular emphasis on notable projects such as the Calcutta program. Internationalization—specifically student exchange programs—was a key topic, highlighting the need to promote cross-cultural understanding and identify shared challenges, such as the situation of low-income individuals, which is a critical issue for both nations.

Likewise, emphasis was placed on the value of internships as an essential part of students’ academic and professional training. The Fulbright Scholarship was also mentioned, in recognition of its importance in facilitating student exchanges and promoting greater intercultural understanding between the two nations.

This event reaffirms the commitment of the Universidad Panamericana Guadalajara Campus to promoting international collaboration, academic excellence, and the well-rounded development of its students, thereby fostering an enriching and globally connected learning environment.
