ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; December 11, 2023.- Uri Gregorio Gutiérrez Cadena is an Alumni of the Administration and Administration and Marketing from Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara belonging to the 1998-2002 generation, and since 2004 he has been living in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States.
Administration and Marketing
Uri confessed that he always saw the Management and Marketing career as an opportunity to learn about business management, with an emphasis on understanding the day-to-day workings of a company, from the bottom to the top, and how marketing provided him with the tools to effectively deliver products and services to a target audience.
Opportunity to study abroad
After graduating in 2002, Uri embarked on an academic exchange that led him to earn his MBA at Western University in Chicago, Illinois. In total, he spent a year and a half studying for his MBA.

After completing his master's degree in 2005, Uri worked at a marketing agency focused on market research for Latin American and U.S. clients. Subsequently, he spent almost 16 years at The Marketing Store, a McDonald's supplier.
"I worked in the management of the Happy Meal for Latin America.I had to be in charge of production, design, volumes and management with all the countries. I had to travel to Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Panama," he said.
However, since Uri studied Business Administration and Marketing, it was clear to him that at some point in his life he wanted to start a business with the experience he had acquired. It was at that moment that the opportunity arose for him to become independent and he did it.
FoodOn
The company arises from a project in Mexico that already has 21 years of experience in the market. A food production company, among which hot sauces stand out. It is also dedicated to the sale of ingredients at the industrial level.
Currently, Uri is dedicated to developing the business in the United States and Canada, as well as in some regions of Europe. In addition, he attends Expos to generate strategic alliances and contacts.
What he likes most about working at FoodOn is the relationship with contacts that help him in his business. Even his philosophy of life is centered on "helping people without expecting anything in return"believing that this attitude generates long-term opportunities.
How did the UP impact your personal life?
The Management and Marketing alumnus affirms that Panamericana helped him to strengthen the social component and to relate to others. He also shares the following:
"Having the backing of a serious and quality institution has made me have the opportunity to be heard or be considered in the jobs I've had, in the scholarship I was able to achieve..... The truth is that it changed my life because it was the next step that I had to do at that time to be where I am now."
One piece of advice Uri gives to the university community is to "cultivate relationships with the people you interact with, always try to help them," and in addition, he invites them to never give up. "No matter how many times you have a disappointment, a problem, you lose a business to another competitor, one has to go back and do it again, find solutions and alternatives".
