Zapopan, Jalisco; February 02, 2023.- With the objective of distinguishing the graduates for showing a great academic performance during their university career, the Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajara held the awards ceremony for the 20 alumni, who excelled in the exam prepared by the National Evaluation Center for Higher Education (Ceneval) in 2022.
Ceneval 2022
Ceneval is a non-profit civil association whose main activity is the design and application of instruments for the evaluation of knowledge, skills and competencies, as well as the analysis and dissemination of test results.
On this occasion, the alumni who received the award were one from the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; 16 from Law; one from Administration and Marketing; one from Civil Engineering and Administration; and one from Audiovisual Communication.
Outstanding performance
The Ceneval Excellence Performance Award is awarded to the candidates who achieve an outstanding performance in all the areas that make up the Examination presented and who, in addition, meet the following requirements:
- EGEL presented for the first time.
- They have a maximum of one year of having graduated from their bachelor's degree (In the case of UP Alumni, this merit is accentuated because all of them have presented it before finishing all the credits that make up their bachelor's degree).
Dr. Rafael Hernández Cázares, Director of Institutional Development of the Campus, mentioned that:
This year, around 800 students in the last year of several of our undergraduate programs at UP took the EGEL and 20 obtained this recognition for exceptionally outstanding performance in their exams, which represents 2.5%, which shows that the performance of our Alumni has been much higher than the historical national average.
Since 2012, when the awarding of this prize began, around 1.6% of all applicants to the CENEVAL exam obtain recognition for excellence. Specifically, of the 1,782,848 students who have taken the EGEL, only 28,910 graduates have obtained the award. These achievements enhance the prestige of the University both nationally and internationally.
Panamericana is proud of its Alumni, who have tested their intellectual abilities, which were developed and promoted by the academic programs that integrate and distinguish the University, and also congratulates them for having obtained this achievement of excellence granted by the Ceneval.
