Five years ago, Universidad Panamericana set itself the goal of becoming a university of research and influence. This objective has undoubtedly led us to try to improve and influence our cultural, social, technical and economic environment. It can be affirmed that, thanks to the strategic guidelines set by the Rector's Council and the Institutional Research Council, as well as the work and dedication of our professors, every year we are taking important steps towards achieving this goal.

In this Scientific Production Reportwhich corresponds to the publications of 2019, materializes a large part of the effort that the academic community of Universidad Panamericana makes every day to contribute to the generation of new knowledge and promote high-level scientific research.

In 2019 we have obtained a very significant growth compared to the previous year, thus achieving the highest visible production in the history of the institution and maintaining a consistent growth since 2012.

According to data from Scopus in 2019 we have positioned ourselves as the second most productive private institution in the country.

Not only have we had an increase in the number of published products, but our professors are publishing in journals with greater impact and visibility. According to data obtained from Scimago, from 2018 to 2019 there was a significant increase in the number of articles published in Q1 and Q2 journals.

According to Elsevier data , most of the readers of our publications are in the United States, Mexico and China. The following figure shows how our readership is distributed around the world.

A similar effect happens with the citations our products receive. The largest proportion of citations are made in the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico and China.

Scimago experts classify the world's scientific production in 27 areas of knowledge. The following figure shows how the production of Universidad Panamericana is distributed in these areas of knowledge. The Social Sciences, Medicine and Engineering stand out in particular.
