Mexico City, April 21, 2025 – The Universidad Panamericana joins in commemorating World Intellectual Property Day —celebrated worldwide every April 26—with a program of academic activities that reinforce its commitment to fostering scientific creativity, respecting copyright, and promoting intellectual property in the university setting.
The institution has developed strategic mechanisms that enable its researchers and students to protect, disseminate, and transfer the knowledge they generate, thereby facilitating the creation of partnerships, licensing agreements, and fair financial compensation for those who drive intellectual development within academia.
Highlights for World Intellectual Property Day
To explore these key topics in greater depth, the Universidad Panamericana will hold two main events on May 16, 2025, aimed at students, faculty, and researchers:
- Conference: Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Industry
An analysis of how the artificial intelligence is transforming strategic sectors, and the role played by the intellectual property in the protection of technological innovations. - Course: Scientific Creativity vs. Generative Artificial Intelligence
A workshop designed to raise awareness about the importance of copyright and intellectual property management in academic contexts, especially in research involving generative AI.
Currently, the National Institute of Health and Nutrition ( Universidad Panamericana ) has made significant strides that reflect its impact on research and innovation:
- 151 members of the National System of Researchers.
- 310 indexed publications per year.
- 30 patent applications and 5 new patents.
- 18 technologies with licensing potential.
