Universidad Panamericana been selected by the Mexican Business Foundation (FUNDEMEX) as its strategic partner in a research project aimed at identifying, documenting, and analyzing five successful examples of social projects supported by the business sector in Mexico.
The main objective of this initiative is to strengthen FUNDEMEX’s philanthropic model and to establish the foundation as a leading source of expertise in the field of social development.

A Collaboration Model with Real Impact
FUNDEMEX, the social arm of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), is dedicated to coordinating efforts between the private sector and civil society to promote sustainable development, with a particular focus on strengthening employment and labor inclusion in communities facing conditions of vulnerability.
Following a competitive selection process that included the submission of a technical proposal, three presentations before a specialized committee, and a demonstration of the institutional strength and experience of its researchers, Universidad Panamericana selected for its academic rigor and humanistic approach.

Systematization of Best Practices from a Scientific and Human Perspective
According to the project leaders, the core value of this research lies in the systematization of a company’s best practices from a scientific, social, and human research perspective. This approach will make it possible not only to document experiences, but also to draw meaningful lessons that can be replicated in other contexts.
One of the main methodological challenges faced by the research team is the collection and generation of data, as many of the participating companies do not formally document their processes.
Despite this challenge, a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative) will be used, including interviews, surveys, and field visits, to assess the projects’ impact on employment, productivity, and inclusion.

Practical Findings and a Lasting Legacy
One of the project’s core commitments is to ensure that the findings are practical and applicable. The mixed-methodology approach will make it possible to ensure that the identified best practices can be applied to other business scenarios.
Beyond the delivery of a research report, the project is expected to leave a legacy that includes a set of clear and accessible guidelines that other companies, as well as FUNDEMEX itself, will be able to follow to pave the way toward sustainability and success in their social initiatives.
