Aguascalientes, Ags. August 22, 2023.- Last Friday, August 18, Antonio de los Reyes Moreno was sworn in as rector of the Panamericanacampus Aguascalientes.

"A responsibility that essentially implies service to the human person and to society, contributing to the achievement of its spiritual and material goals," are the words that reflect the commitment of a rector.
Thus, the university and the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE) recognized the capacity and academic preparation of Mr. de los Reyes, who was sworn in as rector of the institution for the period 2023-2026, as successor to Dr. Gabriel Domínguez García Villalobos.
Accompanied by Dr. Fernanda Llergo Bay, Rector General of the UP-IPADE system, members of the Academic Senate, the rectors of the Guadalajara and Mexico City campuses, and the rectors emeritus of the Aguascalientes campus, the ceremony took place in the central garden of the campus in front of the entire university community.
"I cannot fail to mention that it is a source of pride for the more than twelve thousand undergraduate and graduate graduates to become the first alumni to become the rector of the Universidad Panamericana in Aguascalientes," he said.

Mr. de los Reyes Moreno is the first graduate to reach the Rector's Office and who is also part of the seventh generation of the School of Law, previously served as the seventh Dean of the same School and has now become the seventh rector of this campus.
"As rector, my main commitment is to ensure that our students receive a well-rounded education, preparing them to face the challenges of the 21st century. We will work to strengthen our academic programs, fostering innovation and reciprocal relationships. We will continue to promote an education based on Christian values, which forms professionals with a deep sense of social responsibility and a commitment to justice and solidarity," he said.
He also mentioned the challenges faced in the educational field and in society in general in an era of technological changes, environmental problems and social complexities, for which the University must serve as a beacon of light, a space for dialogue and thought where competent, ethical and committed to sustainable development of society professionals are formed.
