UP Student Groups Make Commitments

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; September 6, 2019.

"It is our turn, today we begin the construction of the path that will make a difference, from today we begin to shape the future", Cecilia Nicole Gálvez Gómez.

The new members of the student groups of our house of studies were sworn in and assumed their commitment to the university community and bid farewell to the outgoing members.

Student groups take protest

The groups that make up the UP are the Alumni Society of the Universidad Panamericana (SAUP), Enactus UP, Red de Líderes and Emprendedores Universitarios.
During the ceremony, the incoming presidents were welcomed and the outgoing presidents were thanked for meeting the objectives achieved. The event was attended by Dr. José Antonio Esquivias, Rector of the Guadalajara Campus; Dr. Sergio Velázquez Rodríguez, Vice Rector for Research and Dr. Rocío Ruíz Mendoza, Vice Rector for University Life.

Dr. Esquivias commented that "everything organized by the students is always successful and has an echo, and those who take charge of this type of work, such as the student groups, are not only a kind of relaxation or leadership, but a desire to serve others".

Dr. Rocío Ruiz emphasized that "this year we worked closely with the student groups, this allowed us to get to know each other better, we worked together very well and for this I would like to thank them for being part of the student groups and also in conjunction with the University".

The outgoing presidents are Francisco Uranga Plaza (SAUP), María Fernanda Preciado Canudas (Emprendedores), Paulina Marín Ruíz (Enactus UP), Fernando Barragán Pérez (Coparmex UP), and the incoming presidents are Jorge Carlos Pelayo Sierra (Coparmex UP), Cecilia Nicole Gálvez Gómez (Emprendedores Universitarios UP), Marisol Jáuregui Alcalá (SAUP), Javier Alejandro Vázquez González (Enactus UP). All of them shared their speeches with those present, reaffirming their commitment to build a better society through the work they do.

At the end there was a toast for all those present, who had the opportunity to discuss the new challenges and objectives.
