During the meeting, Don Valentin was awarded a medal, a symbol that recalls the union of his particular history with Universidad Panamericana. The obverse of the medal depicts the tree of wisdom, which is part of our institution's coat of arms, accompanied by the Panamerican motto: "Where the spirit is, there is freedom" (Ubi spiritus, libertas). On the reverse, the phrase "There is more happiness in giving than in receiving" can be read.

"This symbol recognizes their contribution to Mexico and to human development. Their dedication and collaboration are a solid reference of transcendence and impact for many, which strengthen the construction of a better society and give meaning to man as a factor of social transformation," said Mtro. Working for Mexico

Dr. José Antonio Lozano, President of the Board of Governors of the UP and IPADE, spoke of the adverse situations the country has faced in recent years, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the current economic crisis and added: "(...); because of the pandemic, more than five million students stopped studying, which is equivalent to one out of every six students (...)".

He also added: "How can we help Mexico respond to the challenges that lie ahead? By educating people. In this sense, he spoke about the importance of educating students well and that they have the ability to fix problems, teaching them to develop soft skills; instructing them to have emotional intelligence and educating them in values that allow young people to understand the importance of working for our country.

"We believe that for one person that we educate well in Mexico, the impact he will have on many others that he will reach (his influence) is very great. That is why we think that the help Don Valentin has given, which we are celebrating today with the unveiling of the plaque in this auditorium, has an impact not on one, but on many people who will pass through Ciudad Panamericana over time, who will be educated and will be useful for Mexico. A peso invested in education is one of the best pesos," he concluded.

Ciudad Panamericana seeks to position itself as the largest private campus in Latin America. For its construction, it has taken into account the needs of companies, organizations and the world in general, in order to train students accordingly and provide society with professionals committed to building a better world.
