Mexico City, May 2, 2023.– The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at the Universidad Panamericana, along with other university entrepreneurship centers, participated in the inter-institutional workshop Educational Models for Social Entrepreneurship , organized by Emprende Anáhuacat the University of Anáhuac Mexico, South Campus, and led by Guillermo Larios, director of the program.
Hosting events like this helps foster and spark more and better social enterprises.
About the workshop
The aim of "Educational Models for Social Entrepreneurship " was to share experiences, best practices, and challenges in promoting social entrepreneurship. The goal was to enable universities to generate more and better social enterprises of this kind, which, through the creativity and drive of students, can address various social and environmental issues.
The workshop was attended by Mai Thai from HEC Montreal, Diego Martínez from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Yessica González from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Daniela Ruiz from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico, and Esli Gallegos and Josué de la Rosa from the Universidad Panamericana.

Sustainable Development Goals
Initiatives such as the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) believe that knowledge sharing is essential for bringing about direct and meaningful social change, with universities playing a key role. This contributes to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting quality education.
In this regard, social enterprises have proven to be highly effective in driving social innovation, as they contribute to the achievement of various SDGs while also being profitable and sustainable.
