La Panamericana celebrates 10 years

Seeking to provide support for the families of the institution's collaborators, Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara celebrated the 10th anniversary of Construye UP, the social project organized by the Social Commitment department, which seeks to improve and dignify the housing of UP Operations personnel and their families.

The ceremony was held both virtually and in person; the event began with a mass in honor and gratitude to the collaborators of the University, followed by a protocol act in which several members of the committee and the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rocio Ruiz Mendoza, gave words of recognition to all the beneficiaries.

"This is real justice, this is solving a real problem of your own people," said Dr. Susana Ochoa, founder of Construye UP.

Scope of the Construye UP project

The social project has dignified almost 65 homes throughout these 10 years, supporting 67 UP operations employees, in addition to having carried out 292 construction projects that correspond to the installation of flooring, tile in bathrooms, integral kitchen, construction of walls and roofs, among others. All of this was made possible thanks to the collaboration and participation of more than 2,058 students, 44 professors, 75 alumni and other members of the university community.
