ZAPOPAN, Jalisco. October 14, 2022. Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajara, Luis Morfin, from the Administration and Management career; and Jesús Martínez, from Administration and Finance, obtained first place nationally in doubles in the first stage of the CONADEIP National University Tennis Circuit held in the city of Monterrey.

In a hard-fought final, the pair won by defeating Tec de Monterrey Guadalajara 6-4, 7-5.
The contestants and winners of this tournament shared the following:
"I felt very good throughout the tournament and very happy with the result we achieved after a hard week of matches, achieving the championship was something we had in mind since the beginning of the semester and to be able to achieve it is something very nice. What inspires me to keep playing is that I want us to win the team nationals this year and bring the trophy back to UP." -Luis Morfin
"Winning my first nationals with Luis was very important and exciting for me. In my first semester of competitions I lost two somewhat painful finals and that motivated me to keep training and looking for ways to improve in order to get first place. I am very happy that it happened and I plan to continue giving my best effort to achieve the best possible results during my college career." -Jesús Martínez
