Mexico City, April 25, 2024.- With the purpose of supporting and recognizing the efforts of exceptional students, the School of Nursing of the School of Health SciencesUniversidad Panamericana, held the Anabel Centeno Foundation scholarship contest, which this year was awarded to Dessire Viridiana Espinosa Michel, an outstanding student of the Meyalli School of Nursing. Vocation and life mission
Viridiana, who for the final stage of the contest had to make a presentation on the topic of Risk Factors of the Fragility SyndromeAfter the loss of her uncle and maternal grandparents, she realized that her vocation was in a career in Health Sciences, but she was not sure whether it was in Medicine or Nursing.
"It wasn't until one day Hilda Rocha, a teacher, came to my school and explained to me what the nursing career really consisted of, that I realized that what I really wanted to do was more focused on it, I wanted to treat and be closer to my patient. That's how I realized my true vocation and my mission in life," Viridiana says.
She also states: "I believe that nursing is one of the careers where you will be able to provide quality service with love and kindness to other people, but above all, you will be a support network between patients and their families.
La Panamericana: a unique opportunity
Viridiana, who has received a 100% scholarship to study at Panamericana, states that she is convinced that it is the ideal institution for her academic and personal growth.
In addition, he is confident that it will provide him with comprehensive learning that will help him to have a promising future in his professional career: "(...) I am infinitely grateful for this enormous support that is being given to me to achieve my goals".
She also tells other young people who, like her, are pursuing the dream of getting a scholarship: "there is no obstacle that is impossible to overcome and not even the economic part is a reason to believe that our dreams are far from being achieved. Likewise, they must be willing to knock on doors, look for opportunities, because with effort, dedication and love, everything is possible to achieve".
About the Anabel Centeno Foundation Scholarship
In 2023, the School of Nursing, under the direction of MBA Anabel Centeno, alumni of the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE), chose to promote talent by implementing a scholarship competition. This contest evaluates knowledge and technical skills, as well as interpersonal skills, leadership and entrepreneurship.
Centeno, holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at CCA Logistics Groupa company that provides services to various sectors, including the automotive, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and actively participates in international negotiations.
In addition to serving as a prominent businesswoman, Anabel is involved in several programs and has founded an organization under her name. Through this organization, she seeks to support and encourage the empowerment of women in Mexico, especially young women who aspire to achieve professional and academic goals.
