"We bid them farewell as students, but we welcome them to this new stage that they will carry for the rest of their lives, as graduates of UP, as Alumni," said Dr. Rafael Hernández, Panamericana's vice-rector for outreach.
ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; December 09, 2020.
In order to bid farewell to their Alma Mater as university students and now become part of the Alumni community, the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara organized a series of ceremonies for graduates of the School of Engineering, Law and Business, as well as the School of Communication and ESDAI.
The event was attended virtually by Dr. José Antonio Esquivias Romero, rector of the Panamericana Campus Guadalajara; in person, by the vice rector of liaison, Dr. Rafael Hernández Cazares; and by the director of the degree programme of their respective school or faculty. The ceremonies were carried out in a hybrid manner, meaning that some students attended in person and others online.
Dr. Esquivias Romero emphasized the importance of keeping updated and establishing a close link with the Alumni community, in order to enjoy the exclusive benefits offered by the University, such as conferences, seminars, social events, academic events, as well as networking among alumni. The Rector also mentioned the relevance of the Alumni life for the institution, since "the prestige of Universidad Panamericana is primarily due to the role that alumni assume during their professional life".
The aim of the event was for the students to keep the integral spirit that they built up during their journey as university students, and therefore to put into practice the knowledge acquired in their university life in their personal and professional life.
The Universidad Panamericana welcomes the new members of the Alumni community who, thanks to their perseverance, dedication and discipline during their academic career, have achieved a fundamental part of their lives. It also reminds them that the doors of the Campus will always remain open for their return.
