The Universidad Panamericana marked a historic moment when it debuted at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) in Guadalajara, one of the most important Spanish-speakingone of the most important cultural events in the Spanish-speaking world. After the inauguration, the rectors of the Universidad Panamericana participated in the panel discussion The future of education in Mexico, where they reflected on the challenges and opportunities facing the education system in a world marked by technological innovation and social change.
The Rector General of Universidad Panamericana and IPADE stressed the need to update educational models to respond to technological advances and the demands of the labor market.
"Adapting the educational model is not an option, it is a necessity. At Panamericana we work to implement flexible models, foster competency-based education, and constantly update curricula to stay ahead of the curve"he said.
The Chancellor also stressed that, although change can be challenging, it is indispensable to ensure that students are prepared for the future, without compromising their comprehensive education.
The rector of campus Guadalajara, Dr. Abraham Mendoza Andrade, addressed the challenges involved in the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI). artificial intelligence (AI) in educational processes, emphasizing the importance of its ethical and collaborative implementation.
"How these artificial intelligence tools are developed, how they are trained and how they are used, so that we can contribute to dispel the myths and unfounded fears that exist about the use of these tools and especially the scope. The rector of campus Aguascalientes, Mtro. Antonio de los Reyes Moreno, highlighted the role of universities in the formation of responsible citizens who are aware of the impact of their actions in a globalized society. "At Universidad Panamericana what we want are citizens of the world with high competencies, but who are aware of the reality that can occur in any environment, in any part of the world".
He highlighted initiatives such as Bonaterra Communitya project that improves the quality of life in vulnerable communities, as an example of the impact that students can generate when they combine their skills with an ethical and solidary approach.
