On the other hand, this year ICOM brings a theme and proposal which is "Museums, sustainability and welfare". This is an initiative focused on the issue that we are currently facing as a society: environmental pollution. The council brings with it new ideas and projects to address this issue and raise awareness on this topic focusing on three Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. In 2023: Global Health and Well-being, Climate Action and Life on Earth.

Museums, sustainability and wellbeing

We have a great responsibility as a society to help the environment restore and heal by being more conscious of our carbon footprint. But also, on the other hand, we have a responsibility to educate ourselves, learn from our history and learn more about the world we live in and those who came before us. "Living to serve", a very important truth in which the Universidad PanamericanaICOM, together with ICOM, work on this idea that to serve is also to preserve our history, to grow towards a better future.
