The presentation ceremony was attended by MBA. Antonio Casanueva Fernández. Director of IPADE Business School, Guadalajara; Mtro. Manuel Enrique Tovar Hernández, Director of the Law School; Dr. Edmundo Romero, Director of the Doctorate in Law; Lic Tirso González, Director of Librerías Gonvill; among other personalities.

Throughout the book we talk about life in Ajijic, a town in front of a lake where many waters converge. Throughout its picturesque streets, the original inhabitants of the town meet with the expats, the community of lakesiders who chose the town as a destination in their third age.

In the same way, in the bookcase of La Renga bookstore, the voices of hundreds of authors are read and commented on in the La Colmena café, and a soundtrack permeates the narration: Patti Smith, Bob Dylan, The Pogues, U2, José Alfredo Jiménez, Jefe Bruce Springsteen and an endless number of songs that enliven the reading.

In this landscape painted (and sung) by the author lives Bob, a character who is out of the norm with his brown skin and blue dog eyes. Bob lives the anguish to know his origin, to look for the lost part of that double root of his life.

A taciturn character, Bob spends his days locked up in his home, going out only to stock up on books and readings that add to his melancholy. This is how he spends his days, his years, until a conversation with Sugar and Niagara (two cheerful lakesiders) makes him decide to face his destiny and leave for New York".

The story unfolds in time and space in such a way that the name of the town of Ajijic becomes that of any place, ceasing to be a tourist destination to become the space where stories as varied as the characters in the novel are woven.

With a careful musical selection (offering abundant musical as well as literary references) the author takes the reader through a unique and highly original reading experience.

Dr. Igancio Acosta, as moderator, thanked the authorities for their support in coordinating the book presentation and invited them to present the gifts.

He considered the importance of carrying out the presentation of the second novel by lawyer Patricio Fernández Cortina, who is already writing it and will once again explore, through the characters, the constant search of the human being.
