Zapopan, Jalisco, August 5, 2023.—Recently , an orientation session was held at the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara Campus, for new staff members who have joined the institution. The event brought together coordinators, full-time and part-time professors, as well as academic advisors.

The day began with a breakfast where the new hires had the opportunity to interact with the directors of their respective departments and with other colleagues who were joining the team.
Participants had the opportunity to delve into the university’s history through a video that traces its journey over the years, instilling a sense of pride in being part of this institution. They also learned about the concept of Academic Advising, a cornerstone of the Universidad Panamericana that sets it apart as an educational institution, based on personalized attention: each student is considered unique and is supported throughout their academic journey.

The event was graced by the presence of the Campus Rector, Dr. José Antonio Esquivias Romero, who gave a presentation on “UP’s Philosophy and Educational Principles, ” outlining the institution’s mission, vision, and guiding values of the institution.
Next, María Cristina Avelar, M.A., Head of the ESDAI Academy, discussed the relationship between Opus Dei and the University, highlighting shared values and principles such as the spirit of a job well done, the promotion of human virtues, and the constant pursuit of excellence.
Among those in attendance were the campus vice-chancellors, Dr. Carlos Eduardo López Hernández and Dr. Sergio Velázquez Rodríguez, who introduced the new staff members to the institution’s academic and research programs.

Also in attendance were the Directors of Institutional Development and University Life, Dr. Rafael Hernández Cázares and Dr. Rocío Ruiz Mendoza, respectively. They outlined the objectives of their respective departments and highlighted the importance of the activities they lead for students, alumni, the University, and society at large.
The day concluded with a session on “Compensation for Professional Services, ” designed exclusively for new faculty members and led by Luis Ávila Delgadillo, M.A., Manager of Financial Planning.
A total of 44 staff members, including full-time and part-time faculty, participated. The event was organized by the Human Resources Talent Team.
