GIEF Conference: Women's Dignity and Human Rights

Zapopan, Jalisco; February 27, 2023.— In observance of International Women’s Day (March 8) and as part of the institutional campaign to commemorate the occasion, the Interdisciplinary Group for Feminist Studies (GIEF) of the Institute of Humanities is organizing the Second Conference on Women’s Dignity and Human Rights.

GIEF

This group was founded in April 2021 with the goal of upholding human dignity in each of its projects, seeking to contribute to the creation of a society characterized by equality and respect for all people.

GIEF has 24 female professors from the Panamericana University at its Mixcoac, Ciudad UP, and Guadalajara campuses, who have taken it upon themselves to collaborate with one another to study and discuss texts by feminist women that explore this vision of transcendence within feminism.

“We are women helping women; we are warriors, we are sisters—some of us are mothers, others are single—but we’re all working together.”—Dr . Susana Ochoa de Rojas, research professor at the Institute of Humanities and a member of GIEF.
