Panamericana Generates Partnership with Amazon

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; June 3, 2024.—The Universidad Panamericana Guadalajara Campus had the honor of hosting six distinguished representatives from the international company Amazon, marking a milestone in the collaboration between the two institutions. This strategic meeting, held in the form of a breakfast, was attended by key figures from Amazon who hold positions critical to the partnership.

Representing the UP were Mariana Belén, Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs; Dr. José Francisco López Torres, Dean of the School of Business; Maria Alejandra Ceballos, Director of the Industrial Engineering program; and Ana Fabiola Mora López, Director of the Education and Educational Psychology programs.

The event focused on discussing how Amazon conducts its hiring processes, highlighting the skills and knowledge our students need to be successful candidates. It was announced that future hiring for Amazon’s new facility will give priority to Panamericana graduates, reaffirming Amazon’s commitment to the emerging talent at our institution.

In addition, it was agreed that Amazon will assist in implementing the case method for students, providing direct feedback from the company’s experts, thereby enriching our students’ educational experience.

The event concluded with an informational session for students nearing graduation, during which current job opportunities at Amazon were presented, allowing them to apply directly for available positions.
