ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; December 14, 2022.- Businessman José Medina Mora, Alumni of the Master's Program in Government and Public Policy at Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, assumed the national presidency of the Mexican Confederation of Employers (COPARMEX) for the third consecutive year. Her new presidential term will begin on January 1st and end on December 31st, 2023.
National President of COPARMEX
COPARMEX indicated that in the ordinary assembly, the leaders of the 68 Business Centers of the country agreed that the businessman from Jalisco will be the leader of the employers' sector during 2023.
In the presentation of his report of activities corresponding to 2022, José Medina Mora highlighted that in the year that is about to conclude, Coparmex deployed an action plan to socialize the Inclusive Development Model (MDI) "which is an innovative proposal to promote the country's growth with social justice that puts people at the center, and called on society to learn about it and participate in it."said the organization in a press release.
Likewise, the Panamericana Alumni shared that Coparmex has promoted actions to defend the National Electoral Institute (INE) and the Electoral Tribunal of the Power of the Federation (TEPJF), because "to defend democracy and the rule of law is to defend the freedoms and rights of citizens that we currently enjoy".
International
In the international arena, he said that in meetings with business organizations there is a high level of uncertainty as to whether Mexico will comply with the agreements of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (TMEC), as well as insecurity, factors that hinder investment intentions in the country. In this regard, he also highlighted the holding of the Binational Meetings, Mexico - United States.
