Universidad Panamericana and the University of Texas establish academic alliance in architecture

Aguascalientes, Ags., February 27, 2025. The School of Architecture of the Universidad Panamericana, Aguascalientes campushas taken a strategic step towards academic internationalization and innovation in research. As part of this effort, Eng. Luis Arturo Méndez Alba, dean of the school, visited the school's campus in Aguascalientes.Luis Arturo Méndez Alba, dean of the school, visited the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) with the objective of establishing collaboration agreements between both institutions.

During the meeting, the dean held important meetings with distinguished UTSA authorities, including Dr. Lisa Montoya Vice Chancellor for Global Initiatives and Senior International Officer, Dr. Eric Brey dean of the School of Engineering, and Dr. Saadet Bees Dr. Saadet Beeson director of the School of Architecture.

Academic mobility and student exchange

One of the main topics explored in this alliance is the creation of student and faculty mobility programs that will allow students and professors from both institutions to participate in international exchanges, research collaborations and the development of joint projects.

Mr. Méndez Alba highlighted the importance of collaborating with prestigious universities. "UTSA sought out our Universidad Panamericana and due to the proximity we have it was evident that we had to achieve a high-level collaboration"he said.

The future of architecture driven by artificial intelligence

On the other hand, the dean of the School of Architecture participated in the NSF Spring School. NSF Spring Schoola program specialized in Artificial Intelligence organized by the consortium UTSA MATRIX. This space has been key to the research and development of new technologies applied to various disciplines, including architecture and engineering.

"We as a School of Architecture have been very enthusiastic because we have developed the topic of Artificial Intelligence and the fact of collaborating with UTSA will allow us to deepen in these relevant topics".he added.

This experience will allow Universidad Panamericana through the School of Architecture to strengthen its focus on technology, innovation and training architects with a global vision, integrating new digital tools and advanced methodologies in its curriculum.

A firm step towards internationalization

This union marks a significant step in strengthening Universidad Panamericana's international collaboration, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and innovation in the field of architecture and engineering.
