UP Awarded as one of the 100 Best CIOs in Mexico

Zapopan, Jalisco; October 25, 2023.- In the framework of the eighteenth edition of "The 100 Best CIOs in Mexico", the Digital Transformation (TD) area of the Universidad Panamericana, received recognition in the Consumer / End User Experience category.

The Best CIOs in Mexico

These awards are granted by the Evaluation Council of CIO Mexico magazine, a bimonthly publication aimed at senior management in Information Technology (IT), which recognizes the 100 best projects in the IT field for their positive impact and benefits to users.

Categories

For this year's call, 163 applications were received within the established deadline, and from among them 100 outstanding projects were selected in seven different categories: Consumer/End User Experience, Administrative Management, Strategic Management, Government Management at the three levels of public administration (federal, state and municipal), Operational Management, Technological Innovation and Digital Transformation.

Transforming the User Experience at the University

The recognition awarded to the Universidad Panamericana was based on a project that focuses on the creation of a unique Digital Services User Service Center.

This project originated with the creation of the Directorate of Corporate Digital Transformation, which aims to establish a service schedule from 07:00 to 21:30 hours in all university locations, offering service from Monday to Saturday and maintaining uniform processes and experiences in any location.

Professional Team

César Hernández Reynoso, Director of Digital Services at the intercampus level, received the award on behalf of the entire operation team, which is composed of a total of 47 people, distributed among the university's three campuses.

Edith Torres, who headed the project, with the support of José Moreno at the Mexico City campus and Octavio García at the Aguascalientes campus. In addition, the service and support sub-teams, as well as the engineering staff, contributed their professionalism and experience to bring this project to a successful conclusion.

"I would like to thank my entire team at all the sites, because thanks to them we are recognized, their professionalism and dedication has been total, and now we can enjoy this progress, which is a small step for each person on the team, but a big step for the digital transformation of the university".

The Universidad Panamericana congratulates the entire Digital Transformation team for providing a new vision in the digital environment and leadership in IT management.
