ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; August 04, 2023. Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, in conjunction with the International Affairs department, welcomed the 42 exchange students from the exchange students that will study in our university during the Fall 2023 semester.

Interculturality on campus

The international exchange program at Panamericana aims to provide students with a unique and enriching educational experience that goes beyond the classroom, promoting personal growth, interculturalism and global connection.

On this occasion, 42 students from 15 different universities around the world will study at the Guadalajara campus, coming from countries such as Germany (10), Korea (1), Spain (3), France (14), Guatemala (2), Holland (6), Italy (2), Japan (2) and Mexico (1).

"I chose this university because I am totally in love with Mexico and its culture, I think this university offers many opportunities to foreigners, the subjects in class, the program and the social events are amazing," said Eléna Ysewyn, a student from France.

"I came to UP because I want to learn about the Mexican culture, the food, and UP has a very good reputation," said Ludwig Joste, a student from Germany.

Enriching perspectives

Dr. Rafael Hernández Cázares, Director of Institutional Development of the Guadalajara Campus, addressed a few words to the young people, "We have achieved many goals as a university, and now one of them is to be an international university. This program is very important and strategic for our university, because you are helping us to complete the professional profile of our students, as you are sharing with them your international perspective".

With respect to previous years, Panamericana Campus Guadalajara registered 131 international students in 2019; 93 in 2020; 69 in 2021; 90 in 2022, this semester we welcome 42 new students, who join the more than 4,000 global undergraduate students who will return to classes on August 7 and almost 800 graduate students.

The Universidad Panamericana seeks to provide students and teachers, the opportunity to live and exchange intercultural experiences. It also welcomes all new exchange students, thanking them for the opportunity to get to know their points of view, hoping they will enjoy the culture, food and people that make up our country.
