Víctor Alejandro Ruiz Petrearce is an outstanding Alumni of the Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajaragraduate of the career of Administration and International BusinessHe has been living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, for more than 10 years.
Social organization
Victor works at IDA Foundation, an independent social organization, whose objective is to provide medical equipment and medicines to global organizations. Within the organization, he is a specialist in supply chain excellence, identifying inefficiencies within processes and business units, collaborating with different departments to improve processes, reduce costs and establish collaborations with external and internal partners.
Victor's challenges in the Netherlands
Adapting to an extremely different culture has been an undeniable challenge for Victor. The language, the way of communicating and the work culture have been factors that make a difference in the way he relates to his partners, which has sometimes caused communication to be somewhat cold or abrupt.
Alma Mater
The Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Management helped Victor to have a perspective on where he wanted to go in the work and personal sphere. Subjects such as accounting, ethics, global trade, customs law, international relations, among others, helped him polish his skills and exploit them to the fullest.
"UP focuses a lot on developing the human sphere, the professors identify your strengths and weaknesses, the teaching method, the very high level of excellence, generates that you make the best decisions for your future. UP gave me all those very important tools"- he concluded.
Having fun is something that Victor advises to all those who want to or are studying International Business and Management, finding a balance between academics, sports, social and personal.
